The highlight was the service – extremely attentive and sweet! And the dim sum was so good too— everythinf we got was as good as (if not better than) versions we’ve had in the past:
1) BBQ pork buns (not pictured) – the softest yet not soggy buns I’ve ever had
2) turnip cakes – more savory and cris than I’ve ever had, with a nice surprise of Chinese sausage bits inside
3) fried tofu- perfectly crispy with a nice dipping sauce
4) shanghai soup dumplings- homey taste with a nice chewy wrapper, served atop Napa cabbage
5) shiu mai (not pictured) – hefty size, filled generously with pork and shrimp
6) chow mein – flavorful (will have to try the chow feng next time)
7) sesame balls – perfectly crispy on the outside and steaming on the inside, not too greasy at all!

Last minute decision to try a newly discovered dim sum place around the neighborhood.
It’s not your typical large scale dim sum place. However, they do offer a large selection of dim sum and stir fried dishes.
It’s nice to see family owned small restaurant pop up. We were seated quickly and food was served quickly.
I am always amazed how the chef can offer such large selection of dishes. Worth a try.

I made reservations here to celebrate my dad’s birthday for a party of 9 and we had so much fun trying multiple different dishes. The service was great! Super friendly and brought out my Thai Tea quickly.

This spot is fairly new and opened appropriately 9 months ago. They have a dim sum menu as well as a separate menu with their Chinese food dishes! I really enjoyed the fact that they had different options as it opened it up for everyone to try something different. Their wor won ton soup was one of my favorites and I got the shrimp low mein, which has delicious noodles.

I will definitely be back when I am in the area!

Delicious dim sum! The char siu baos are very big, soft, and the bbq pork has amazing flavor! The service here is great and they are very kind! My only complaint is the thickness of the rice rolls and dumpling skin. Personally, I like it a bit thinner. The egg custard buns were not too sweet and filled generously! All the food is reasonably priced. Come support this small business!

Absolutely avoid if you want something good. Otherwise, this could be your place. The chicken dish I ordered did not taste like chicken. The vegetables were sparse and tasteless. Service was disinterested in what they were doing. Friendly manager or owner, unsolicited, stopped by to see how I liked my order. I told him I did not like it. He told me all his other customers liked it.

Poly Gone

Found this tasty new dim sum spot in Hastings Ranch and the food was delicious! Their Beef Chow Fun, Singapore Style Noodles and Shrimp & Pork Shumai were all fantastic! All the staff is polite and there’s free parking outside. Can’t wait to try some of their other offerings.

Since Chef Tony closed in Old Pasadena, we have been on the hunt for a dim sum restaurant nearby. Thankfully we landed upon JS Foothill Restaurant. The staff is attentive and sweet. The dim sum was very solid as well. We look forward to coming back and ordering more – particularly the congee and noodle dishes.

Been here at least 6 times. They’re always very good about honoring my dietary restrictions. For example, I ask for moo shoo with “no sugar” and “no pancakes”, and they always cheerfully get the modification right. The food is good, solid quality, maybe not the most super amazing culinary high, but much better than a lot of other similarly-priced places. My only complaint is that sometimes the drinking water has bits of stuff in it. That’s happened twice. I’ll keep coming here anyway, it’s very nice!
