J’s Deli is a must in Smithfield! I’ve been coming here for a while now and feel guilty that I haven’t written a review yet. The restaurant itself is clean, has a large deli display, and posters of all their delicious sandwiches. They also have premade salads, some desserts, and other goodies.
I want to commend the employee I had tonight. I wish I had gotten her name but she was extremely kind and personable. I’ve had her before and she always makes for a great experience. If the business owner reads this she was working the night of 2/7/26 and is a crowd favorite!
Tonight I ordered the Cape Cod sandwich and we also had the chicken and falafel wrap. The Cape Cod was delicious! Nice and crispy fish even though I brought it home. Their falafel is always moist and delicious as well. My other favorite sandwiches are the Varone and Goldfinger. What really sets them apart is their bread- always soft and very fresh tasting.
Their prices are also reasonable for the amount of food you get. This is a sandwich shop Subway is jealous of! Definitely a must try.

I drive all the way from Warwick just to treat myself to a Sammie because theyre THAT good. I usually get a Reuben which is stacked with more meat than you know what to do with (10/10) but was pleasantly surprised to see they have breakfast sandwhiches- if youre going to Dunkin youre wasting your time. I got the Steak egg and cheese on a grilled bagel… I didnt even need to bite into it to know it was going to SLAP. Aside from the excellent food, everyone here is always very pleasant and super nice. Im so glad to see the staff from Woonsocket transition to this location, the food is made with love for sure and GREAT prices for the quality and amount of food you get. Theres always really yummy Limited time sandwiches too, always something new to try. Such a GREAT PLACE, one of my favorites in the state!

Delicious subs! I Had the Wall Street. Great old school sub shop vibe. Had the game on. No bathroom. Staff was friendly and the subs were made quick. Little pricey but worth it, good portions.

I love their reubens, and the other sandwiches I’ve had don’t disappoint either. My favorite part of this place is the aesthetic walking in. The entire wall is covered with menu items, and there’s not a sandwich you can think of that they don’t serve here.
Fast paced during lunch hour with take out but there are also several tables inside and a TV to dine in if you wish. Plenty of extras to add as a side to your sandwich like chips, potato salad and unique beverages. Awesome local little spot 🙂

Actually just stopped at this gas station on the way by & decided to run into the deli next door to grab something since we hadn’t eaten. It’s very cute inside & quick, friendly service. & the Italian subs were EXCELLENT. We will definitely travel to go back again.

If you’re ever in Rhode Island and looking for a great sandwich, I highly recommend J’s Deli. They offer an impressive variety of sandwiches, so there’s something for everyone. I ordered the Roman and added banana peppers, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was flavorful, perfectly put together, and incredibly filling. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re craving a quality deli sandwich!

Went for a lunch date with my girlfriend today. The place has a wonderful selection and always has something new. They don’t have a lot of seating, which makes the atmosphere not my favorite. Everything else is definitely designed to make you return again for years to come.

2000 was my first Js sub when i attended Bryant.. 24 years later I still grab a sub any chance i can get.. I am not in Rhode Island often, but when I am in the area, you can bet i’m stopping.. This latest trip i got lunch and tried The Soprano for the first time.. Amazing was an understatement.. Before heading back to NH i swung in again to grab another sub to bring home for dinner. For that one, I grabbed the best one on the menu, The Bull Dog. After 24 years I have no idea how many Js sandwiches i have had, but i can say, I have never had a bad one..
The old school deli feel, with subs being made in full view is awesome.. If you have never had a Js sub before, please try one…. This place needs ro keep things going for another 25+ years..
