The food was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly! My daughter has an egg and peanut allergy and they were so accommodating. The owner answered any questions I had and told me the ingredients to their food. So happy that we found a new place that has safe food for my kiddo! We will definitely be going back!

It has been awhile since I was there but the food was great!! We got the brisket, pork and several side dishes. Everything was seasoned well and the meats were great.
When we came in they explained the specials and the other menu items which was very helpful.
We really enjoyed the food, the friendly service, and everything they offered.

Great food and great customer service! The minute we walked in we were greeted with a smile. The ordering process was easy everything was explained to us. The atmosphere was pleasant and enjoyable. The food was amazing and had great flavor. I will recommend this place to family and friends. We will be back. I recommend trying a little of everything. You won’t disappointed!! ❤

Amazing stop during our annual friends trip! The breakfast tacos were OUTSTANDING and the bloody mary with the brisket and sausage was perfect. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again!

Stopped by J’s back in November 2023. My cousin, who went to college in Ripon, highly recommended we eat here. The special for the week was brisket tacos. I’m not kidding when I say it might have been the best meal I’ve ever had. I know it’s not a regular menu item but it should be. One of the owners even checked in with us at the end of the night to see how our experience was. Amazing food and wonderful passionate people! If you’re in Ripon you absolutely need to stop at J’s BBQ.

This was excellent. I hope the people in Ripon take advantage of this restaurant. I was very impressed with the authenticity of the brisket to the brisket I am used to in Texas. The sides were excellent. The sauces were great. The owner and staff were very friendly. It’s great to know when I come to Ripon for a visit I can still get some great Texas brisket!

The staff is friendly and helpful and the establishment is very clean and welcoming. That being said, let’s get to the food! I ordered the brisket (wet) and as soon as I tasted it I went to my BBQ happy place. Let’s face it. Wisconsin isn’t known for it’s good taste in BBQ but J’s…. They get it! The bark was perfect! It just exploded with flavor every single bite. The brisket melted in your mouth and was marbled beautifully. Not too fatty, not too lean. I had some sauces on the side (you know, just in case) and never touched a single one. When sauce would be an insult to the meat, THAT is great BBQ! The Mac and Cheese and fried pickles were excellent too. If you appreciate great BBQ check out J’s.
