Heard about this restaurant and all I had to hear was they make Smashburgers, we got in our car and off husband and I went to check it out. Located in Old Homosassa, nice cozy place, lots of parking. Lots of tables available, place was very clean and organized and the employees were very friendly and welcoming. They have a counter with chairs if you prefer that. What a great selection of comfort food to choose from. We placed our order, got napkins and ketchup from the condiment table. They serve beer and wine and have a soda dispenser, all the refills you want. We waited 10 min and our food was delivered piping hot to our table. JR’s did not disappoint, they lived up to their reputation and then some. We both got double cheeseburgers and split a large fry. Good grief, the burgers were just delicious. Tender meat, lots of American cheese and the bun was soft and fresh, fantastic Smashburger A+. The fry’s were hot out of the fry basket. Prices were shockingly reasonable too! We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back ASAP!!! Highly recommend this fantastic restaurant, you have to give them a try!!! Debbie

Coming to Hommassa from West Palm Beach. We passed this small restaurant on the side of the rd . Being hungry for a hamburger I googled thier reviews. Every one praised this place. Sold !!!! Being only 5 blocks away I visited. Very clean. Well decorated restaurant and bar . A bit on the small size . But very comfortable atmosphere. Very down home feel. I ordered the Double Swiss smash burger. Excellent choice. Very happy. A large Greek Salad was was amazing for my wife. We both ate out of it with more for tomorrow. Nothing was skimped on . A large Fry . All my lord they were so good. I don’t know what or how they make them but they are gently crispy and seasoned perfectly. I will probably be back tomorrow for more . And a large batterd mushrooms with honey mustard I believe. They were good . But nothing compared to the other food . My Bill came to $32 bucks . Feeding 2 people very easily. Very reasonable on pricing. I highly recommend the establishment. For price and quality it can’t be beat

Little hole in the wall, with the absolute best smashburger!!! Great presentation, great taste and on a Kings Hawaiian bun. The atmosphere is typical of a mom and pop hole in the wall, but the service was fast and friendly. Reasonable prices and offered much more than just burgers.

Unbelievable. I’m not even sure how a place can serve such amazing food at such great prices, AND have a staff so cool. The young lady who took our order and worked behind the counter was so nice and you could tell she genuinely cared about her job. The two badasses at the burger station were busting their asses and had positive attitudes, while being great at their job. Kudos to owner/s and management. This will become our family go to on the weekends.

This is such a cute little restaurant with great burgers and friendly service. Plus you cannot beat the prices. We stopped in and got three smash burgers, a gyro, fries and some of their fried crab bites. I loved my burger The meat was very fresh, juicy and cooked to perfection. The only bad thing was they forgot to put onion on it The onion would have made it perfect. The fried crab bites were also very good, but small The fries were amazing!! Best fries I’ve had in a minute. Crispy outside and light and airy inside. Plus their ranch dressing tastes homemade and is delicious! My friend and I chatted with a super friendly waitress who took our order. I did not get her name, but she was so sweet. She let us try some of their Greek chili while we waited ️ It had very good flavor. The air conditioning felt so good on a hot June afternoon, but we were soaking wet from getting rained on while kayaking that morning and wish they had some sort of outside seating so we could dry off in the sun. I highly recommend checking this place out. We will be back next time we are in town!

Ok so… When I first seen people posting about this place I really wasn’t interested. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! AMAZING all the way around. Definitely a must try. We got the mushroom swiss, the steak burger, fries, fried pickles and crab bites. Everything is out of this world great.

The food was so GOOD! I had a double cheeseburger. My husband had a steak burger we shared the cheese steak fries. The employees were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant clean and beautifully decorated! If you’re ever in the area it a MUST TRY!

JR’s Smash Burgers is exactly what a smash-burger joint is supposed to be, loud flavors, crispy edges, juicy patties, and absolutely zero apologies for how addictive it is. The burger hits you with that perfect sear, the fries are always on point, and then there’s the hot dog… a full Nathan’s dog, dressed up with their secret-recipe chili that should honestly be illegal.
Everything here tastes like someone actually cares about what they’re serving, which is rare these days.
My only complaint?
I can’t get it at 8 a.m. on a Sunday, because I absolutely would. That’s my hangover problem though.

Update: If you love tots this is THE PLACE for you! The chicken bacon ranch tots have become my new addiction.
After working outside in the florida heat, hubby was happy they had some beer options.
First time and we really enjoyed our meals. Got fried pickles to start, then a double cheeseburger, chicken bacon ranch wrap with a large tater tots to share. Everything was cooked to order and fresh when we got it. Staff was very friendly We will be returning.

Amazing Smash Burgers! There were other things on the menu, but looking around everyone in the restaurant had burgers, and I could see why….. because they are wonderful! The fries are the best I ever had as well. The price isn’t much more than Mickey D’s and you get quality and great service, and you’re supporting a local business. Staff was great as well. This will be our new go to for eating in or taking out. Their recipe for success is fabulous food at great prices. Win / Win!
