Stopped in with my brother and father in law cuz we were all hungry and we found this place with wholesome home cooking. We had the salad buffet with their home made fried chicken. Thumbs up for their food! Their salads are delicious and their fried chicken is definitely a winner winner chicken dinner! I saved the location for when I revisit Kankakee.

Was out on a bit of a road trip and had looked up restaurants in Kankakee. This one showed up with great reviews, and I can see why. The chicken was terrific, with a crunchy and tasty breading, while the meat was flavorful and juicy. If you get a chance, try them out.

We were on our way home from a Chicago vacation and found this little gem. The chicken is great (get the hot wings: they’re not Buffalo wings, they’re similar to Tennessee style chicken) and the salad bar was a wonderful surprise. Oh they have homemade pies too!
