One of the best places to eat. If you’re in this area I highly suggest this place. The food is always great. Buy a sandwich or meat by the pound. So many other offerings. My sandwich was 6.99 the pork. Husbands was 7.99 for the brisket. The young lady that waited on us was super busy but so friendly and rocked it!!

OMG If you are in Indiantown and hungry, look no further! Great food and price. We have been working on our boat at the Indiantown marina for almost a month now, and every time we came to this place, the meal was consistently great. Be patient for the service. Usually there is one smiley girl for the entire restaurant to serve the restaurant and bar. NO regrets!!! Indiantown is a heavily Hispanic community and the patrons are mostly locals in this restaurant. Awesome experience.

Large portions, baby back ribs and brisket were excellent as were the braised cabbage and bbq bean sides. Service was with a smile.

The food here is very tasty and well prepared with good portion sizes. While the building and decor has historically been run down, recent changes have begun to make this a true hidden gem. Either way, don’t let the looks deceive you. The food is well worth it!

Husband and I stopped by for a quick bite after our bike ride this morning. We got the brisket dinner with coleslaw and fries. I was looking forward to the brisket based on the reviews. Unfortunately what I received did not measure up. Close to 60% of the brisket serving was fat. Coleslaw and fries were good. Service was also good.

Judging by the outside and first glance inside I should’ve known what to expect but I’m willing to try most places once. I had the brisket sandwich with fries. The brisket was extremely fatty. There was some smokiness to it but very little flavor, even on the soggy bark. The fries were decent but a few were still undercooked. The first glass of tea I had was sour so they brought me a fresh brewed batch that was fine. The restroom was filthy and there was hole in the ceiling that was dripping water into the bathroom floor with wires exposed in the hole.

Got the brisket sandwich. Pretty tasty. Others at the table tried the pulled pork and brisket platters. All were tasty. Service was a little slow but we were in between lunch and dinner. Everyone was friendly.

Parking is a little tough and ended up having someone hit my car in the lot. Would stop in again if passing through.

service a 4, collards a 4, baby back ribs were awfully big babies and not fall off the bone, fried chicken good, brisket pretty good. Like atmosphere, friendliness of staff and cleanliness. Would give it another shot for sure. The tacos looked fabulous.

My husband got a pulled pork sandwich. It was full of fat. I got a nacho salad iand the rice wasn’t done and she wouldn’t exchange it or give me different rice. The place is dirty. It’s just a nasty place. And the bathrooms are absolutely horrible. I’ll never go back.

We took another couple for dinner and drinks on Saturday May 25th at 6:15. Our initial drink order went well. After that the service level got progressively worse in spite of our attempts to be friendly and patient. I ordered pork chops but got pulled pork, wife’s order was missed all together. Our guests got their meal and went ahead and eat while we waited for them to now prepare wife’s dinner and cook my pork chops. I even offered to accept the pulled pork but since I had to wait for wife they made chops. Friends had to wait for us to finish eating. Had to request more beers and a glass of ice literally 3 times. Waitress became very curt and annoyed we wanted drinks. Again we were very careful to be polite. We request take out containers for our left overs…she literally dropped them in our guests lap. We then waited 15 minutes for a bill. Our guest went up to her to ask for one. She brought his and not ours. Walked away before I could ask about ours. 5 min later i managed to ask for our bill. Her reply “yup” then went to her to serve locals beer. Never brought the bill. Eventually i had to go to her and demand it now because we had the leave. I paid and no thank you or even smile.

I have enjoyed JR’s in the past but this was the very worst service and attitude I’ve ever experienced anywhere. On observation she was treating the other dinner people about the same. Food was over cooked but not to bad.

I hope the owner sees this and fixes what ever is happening there. I for one will never return for drinks food, gas supplies etc. Clearly if your not local the staff have issue with you being there. Unfortunately the owner has not given an email and they don’t answer the phone.

Stay away from the place. Better options in town.
