Amazing, consistent quality sushi and asian fare that has made this place one of my most popular takeout joints, and dine in spaces in all of JP if not Boston.

The restaurant was not busy at all. Wonder why it took 20 minutes to prepare chirashi, which is just pieces of sashimi (neta) on a bed of rice. Rice tasted hard, dry, and not fresh, not ideal for sushi but rather fried rice. Better quality rice would have complemented the fish better, which was actually pretty nice. Maybe I would come back for Korean food. I would not order Japanese food again here.

If you want fresh sushi with a great atmosphere, this is the place to go. My waitresses were very kind and attentive, and took the time to help me and my boyfriend choose what we wanted. We both got the lunchboxes which was a great deal for how much it came with. Thank you for the great food! Will definitely be coming back.

Don’t order sushi here! Service was attentive and friendly, but I came here last week for dinner and my friend got food poisoning. She noticed immediately that the fish wasn’t fresh and smelled off and mentioned it to the waiter, who was very nice, but the damage was already done. I didn’t get food poisoning (thankfully), but the spicy tuna wasn’t very good and I wouldn’t order again. I moved to JP last month and was hopeful this would become our new go-to sushi spot, but I’m honestly wary of coming back.

This is one of our family’s go-to places for takeout and dine-in. They have consistently offered and maintained the high quality of their food. – always just right, not too salty and their fried foods are never too greasy. The place is clean and very pleasant.

JP Seafood has been around for years!! The secret, it has maintained the integrity of the quality, quantity and menu with the passage of time! This is not lost on the locals or newcomers. My favorite is the lunch menu. You can get healthy, tasty affordable selections whether it be the (preceded by Miso Soup) Bento Box or Sushi. The dinner menu (scaled down) is also available. You can dine alone or with friends, and have a view of the tropical fish tanks flush against the wall. The owners live in the neighborhood and that may also have a bearing. The sense of loyalty and responsibility to the community! I’ve seen many other restaurants come and go in the Neighborhood, yet JP Seafood has stood the test of time! The Bonus, Everything is so pleasing to the Eyes and that’s where the introduction to any meal begins!

The service is very attentive, but a bit too ‘professional’ (lack of eye contact, smile…). The food was ok, but not exciting. The duck dumplings were filled with a creamy cheese/mayo sauce, and had shreds of duck. No duck flavor at all. The ramen was rather flavorless, and the addition of 4 shrimps and three very small slices of pork roast wasn’t worth the extra $4.50. The menu is gigantic, comprising pages of Korean, Japanese, … dishes. Probably not a good idea of trying to offer all, but not hitting most of it?!

We love it here! You can’t go wrong with a noodle dish or stir-fry dish. So many great options for us non-sushi people. Service is 100% awesome too.

I didn’t like anything about this place. The food presentation was horrible, the food itself was subpar, the servers took an excessive amount of time to serve the food. I will never come back.

wouldn’t expect this great sushi place to be on centre Street in JP, but sure am glad it is! we sat at the bar with a view into the sushi making. really cool spot. sushi, seaweed, soup and dumplings were all great. prices very reasonable! service was great.
