Ordered 2 pizzas and a dozen garlic knots via DoorDash. Pizza is definitely on the pricer side. Got the Garden Goddess which was good and the Sweet Bianca which was average. Garlic knots were good as well.

It’s a nice place for a quick snack. It’s hard for me to justify paying $16 for a pretty small personal pizza, but I’m not from San Francisco, so the prices here in general seem to be all equally high.

Excellent pizza! I usually don’t care for thick crust, but this one is really delicious, plus they have a great choice of toppings. I tried Greek, veg, and chicken, all were really tasty. The staff was really helpful when asked questions. Got it to go as the store itself is small and busy with people in line to order. Will be back!

Finally found legit Detroit-style pizza in SF! Joyride Pizza absolutely nails it with their perfectly crispy, caramelized cheese edges and that signature thick, airy crust that Detroit-style is famous for. The pepperoni pizza is a standout – those crispy-edged pepperoni cups curl up just right, creating little pools of flavor that complement the robust tomato sauce. What really sets this pizza apart is the layering – cheese goes right to the edges of the pan, creating that amazing crispy cheese crust that Detroit-style pizza is known for. The proportions are spot-on: generous but not overwhelming, letting you actually taste each component. Pro tip: Those corner pieces are gold! The cheese caramelizes against the pan creating this amazing crunch that pizza dreams are made of. Great addition to SF’s pizza scene. Will definitely be back to try their other offerings!

Detroit-style pizza is my favorite! I’m visiting from out of town and wanted to try the best that SF has to offer. Today, I tried Pie Punks and Joyride. Joyride was very convenient because I was able to order at a kiosk and they offered a personal size (two slices) which came out quickly. It was solid but not quite as good as Pie Punks. They hit it with a little freshly shredded cheese post-bake, which is usually a nice bonus, but I didn’t like it on this pizza. But overall, good pizza and fast service. Beware that this location is tiny and has two small tables inside and two picnic tables outside.

I actually stumbled upon this spot randomly while walking in the area, and had to try it. Didn’t look a single review prior; I just took a leap of faith. I got a cheese slice, and it’s easily one of my favorite D-Style slices I’ve ever had! It’s fluffy, the ingredients are well balanced, and worth trying. In regards to the service, it’s a spot you have to order and pay at a kiosk, then they just give it to you, so it feels a bit ‘impersonal’, but such is life these days with most things. There are a few spots to sit and eat at, but it’s not a true ‘dine-in’ spot, so don’t expect to show up with a large pizza party. The cheese slice was just over $7, so it might be in your best interest to get an actual full pizza for the sake of value.
Overall, it’s a good pizza, and worth trying! Very impressive for the D-Style-In-California category!

Joyride is a late-night gem for pizza enthusiasts, even for those not typically enamored with Detroit-style fare. Despite my initial reservations, the pizza here managed to win me over with its exceptional taste and surprisingly light texture for the style. Laden with generous toppings and boasting a diverse menu, there’s something to please every palate. What sets Joyride apart is its quick grab-and-go style, perfect for those seeking a speedy bite on the way home after a night out. Whether you’re a Detroit-style devotee or a skeptic like myself, Joyride promises a satisfying slice that’s worth the detour.

Spent $50 for a single person pizza and one can drink. When the food came out, it wasn’t the *thin crust I ordered* or even the correct can drink. I asked the server to correct the order and he simply said “that’s we all got.” Twice and walked away. So now I have a deep dish pizza instead of thin crust, and a random can drink. And they have my fifty dollars. Just don’t.

I like the crust of their pizza, dont like my sweet Bianca. I assume it goes with dried figs but it has fig jam and cheese. Good location for watching Bay bridge and Ferry Building

I only went to this location because the one on top the Salesforce building was closed. I recently went to the one on the Salesforce building and absolutely loved it because it was gluten free and had a thick crust. It was my first time finally eating a thick crust gluten free pizza. So, I googled the nearest open one and went here. I asked for light cheese, the first ingredient on the bread was a layer of cheese. I asked for pineapple, and the pineapple was a huge slice and placed on top the cheese. Then there was a glob of sauce and a few vegan pepperoni. To top that off, the pizza wasnt even hot! It was slightly warm. I wanted to take it back but I would have missed the ferry, and I didnt believe he would do a better job. I ate very little because I was starved, but I threw most if it away.
This was a bad experience, but I know the company has better. I believe it was the worker that was the problem. I had someone with me and she ordered a regular pizza and was very disappointed as well. She threw hers away and got something somewhere else. Unfortunately, this experience costed close to $70, and was a waste.
