We are a family owned coffee shop and Bakery. Using locally roasted, organic and sustainable coffee beans from Storyline Roasters here in BV. We are known for making it home-made whenever possible and that incudes our chai! Locally known for our substantial breakfast burritos, gluten-free scones, large cookies and amazing ‘old-fashioned’ muffins. We also will have a variety of dessert options which change daily. The atmosphere and the service was far from “joyful.” The barista was one of the least friendly people. She truly acted as though us being there was a burden to her. Her entire vibe made us want to never come back which is unfortunate since the shop itself is so cute and convenient to the river.

Oh my goodness. Joyful Bakery & Coffee IS JOYFUL! On our recent trip to Buena Vista we stopped by for breakfast…not once, but twice. Their breakfast burritos are packed with flavor! We also ordered two birthday cakes to celebrate our adult children’s special days…a chocolate peppermint and a lemon blueberry! Not only were the cakes pretty, but they were FABULOUS….hands down the most flavorful birthday cakes you could ever imagine…moist, dense yet light, and bursting with deliciousness. 100% recommend Joyful Bakery & Coffee!

Such a local gem! I love coming here before shooting weddings at the Surf Hotel! I can quickly grab a hot drink and delicious baked good. It’s even better if they’re doing the desserts for the wedding!!

Nice little coffee shop within stumbling distance from the Surf Hotel. (That’s a good thing since the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast other than Sunday Brunch.) The coffee was smooth and robust. I had the bacon burrito, thought it was pretty good!

I came in for pastry and coffee but was disappointed that all the morning pastry options contained chocolate. I don’t want chocolate for breakfast. Please mix things up! Cortado was good. Really glad to see non-fat milk as a choice. Also, ask if a beverage is “for here or to go.” If I’m staying, I want my drink in a mug.

Absolutely gorgeous location between a triple snow-capped peak range and a rocky hill with a creek! I got the hot chocolate and the cinnamon scone. Best breakfast pastry I’ve ever had! The coffee and burritos were great! The service on the other hand was bordering on rude. Its not great when the baristas are complaining that you ordered something and then talking about how they wish no one else would come in. It made me feel like I was an inconvenience which wasn’t great! Normally when we stop here, we have a nice time!

I ordered from one girl who was in a hurry to clock out apparently. I ordered a cinnamon brown sugar flavored iced coffee. There was no question about size. She asked if whole milk was okay. I never asked for milk. I said yes, just a splash of milk is fine, she seemed confused and said it wouldn’t be full to the brim. I received almost a half-full cup of coffee, so I asked for more coffee- from a different woman, who gave me about an ounce more coffee. I am very confused about the amount of coffee I received. It also doesn’t taste like anything at all. Another dude walked out with an iced coffee filled to the brim. Probably won’t come back.
