This is the second time my husband got food from this place My husband got a menudo there it taste like it wasn’t washed and clean properly before cooking the tortillas were in bad shape smell like pork grease in it so hard could not eat it plus they didn’t not include the sauce, onion, cilantro and lemon and pepper for the menudo also the menudo didn’t have hominy corn in the menudo
I do not recommend
Also the asada alambre we ordered the first time we got food from La joya smells like carnitas.
Terrible food absolutely disgusting whoever wants to enjoy of a good clean place to eat good food do not come here it’s a terrible place bad food. Bad customer service by the way They need to have the department of health come and do an inspection

First meal in SF…and I am already in love with this country and this unassuming little Mexican eatery! Was delighted because we stumbled upon it by pure chance…no prior knowledge or recommendation of it anywhere at all. Come here if you are nearby. Order a main and the nacho chips are on the house…free flow…with all the salsas and such. The Guacamole was SO GOOD, we had 3 rounds of the nacho chips, just to scoop up the Guacamole with them! The tacos had delicious and generous amount of chunky pieces of chopped beef and chicken drizzled with their secret family recipe sauce, I supposed…all these food were just a little over $20! Will order the Alambres next time I am back! It looked SO YUMMM…on another table!

When I pulled in there were a line of cars with people waiting them for their orders from the food truck. I knew it was going to be good. I put my order in for a chorizo burrito. WOW! Hands down the best I have had north of the border. Flavorful, spicy and HUGE… I could have had this as two meals as the burrito is big. The included salsas of red and green were really good as well. Just amazing.

Husband craving a burrito but saw fish instead. Mojarra Frita. It was a fried tilapia with rice and beans, side salad and tortillas. It was large enough for us to share and make 5 tacos. Tried quesabirria, it was ok. The gooey cheesenwas nice but it had a gamey aftertaste. The tacos al pastor was not dry so it was appreciated. I still like the salsa bar to fill up on flavor.

Great food – this is our favorite local taqueria. Love the handmade quesadillas with flor de calabazas and the veggie tacos. Salsas are all very flavorful and spicy!

The chicken mole was delicious, and I appreciate the well-stocked salsa bar too. There’s a no-frills ambience, but it’s still much nicer than food trucks in a parking lot.

I was visiting from another state and decided to give this restaurant a try because of the reviews, but don’t get FOOLED. I had a very unpleasant experience ordering from them through DoorDash. I placed an order for tacos and added in the notes that I wanted SALSA ROJA Y VERDE with my food. When the first order arrived, there were no sauces at all. The tacos were too dry to eat, so I decided to place another order for just one item and called the restaurant to explain the situation. The person I spoke with assured me they would include the sauces this time. I was very understanding at the time and gave them another chance. After waiting another 40 minutes, the second order arrived and once again they failed to include the SALSAS. At that point it was clear they are unprofessional and do not bother reading their DoorDash ticketing or customer notes or cared at all to make sure they made it up to the client the second time. The first order should have been correct, and or after promising to fix it, they still messed up. As a business, they need to get it together. THE TACOS ENDED UP IN THE TRASH BECAUSE THEY WERE DRY TO EAT.

This our favorite Mexican restaurant, My hubby loves their carne asada burrito it’s delicious, portion big and still $15 with tax. Sometimes service slow because they were busy but most of the time when I place an app order it’s fast. The service well for me it’s okay not with others though . But hey I love their food, the Menudo it’s my hubby favorite too. We went to Mexico last year twice but I am telling you when it comes to food this location has the authentic Mexican food. So to be honest you don’t need to go to Mexico for food if you come at this place. Don’t expect much about the location cleanliness or if it’s well maintained, their food station to me look sanitary and the food they serve quite hot in temperature plus they have chips and salsa station, self
service. It is also adjacent to a Mexican store so it’s one stop shop.
