Quite literally the best sushi place I’ve gone to in Vancouver so far. It was so good that I haven’t stopped thinking about it even 8 hours after eating dinner it’s my new go to spot for sure! I went here for my birthday dinner with my family for the first time and I was so impressed by everything. The service and presentation were amazing. It doesn’t look like it would be good just from the area and the outside but holy moly was it delicious. My dad even thought it was good and he’s difficult to impress! I will be recommending this place to everyone. 10/10

This spot has to be one of the best, if not the best sushi place in Vancouver. I’ve been here multiple times and the sushi is delicious each time. I love the New York roll, I have to get it every time I’m there. The heart attack appetizer, Chick-A-Wow-Wow roll, and the Tempura shrimp roll are all good options that I like to order as well.The server is very nice and welcoming. I love coming here and I can’t wait to go back again!

My fiancé and I absolutely loved this place!
We were getting his car worked on at the Toyota dealership and it was very close by.
It was a little unassuming from the outside, but the food and the service we had was amazing. My fiancé recommends the Waikiki roll, and I recommend the Gyoza (made with chicken and vegetables).

I dined in tonight and everything tasted so good. The sushi was so fresh and the rolls did not fall apart on me which is a plus. The service was so nice. I asked for extra ginger to take home and they even went out of their way to give me wasabi. I will definitely be back. It’s good that they close at 10 because most places close at 9. This place is so close to me too!

Quiet little spot with only a dozen or so tables/booths. Exquisite presentation and exceptionally skilled chef/s make this place great. It’s a great place for a chat or a date, very intimate but can get a bit crowded when busy. There is a decent wait for your order but it is well worth the wait if you appreciate good sushi. Staff is very friendly and accomodating as well. Check them out if you’re nearby.

Before you read the rest I’ve never complained about the places I’ve eaten at, especially Japanese being on of my favorite cuisine’s. Sushi sounded good tonight, and the closest place was Joy Sushi. Great reviews, so I thought it would be good. The Miso didn’t look to bad, but the bowl was mostly just broth compared to a standard Miso but my biggest problem was the tofu, obviously had been frozen because it was cold, the texture and the flavor were also bad. I got the calamari thought that would be good because it even said chef special… wasn’t that special, it was actually sub par, extremely chewy, might as well chew on a piece of rubber because it’s not $10, didn’t even eat it. Those were the only 2 things I left on the table almost untouched, thought maybe the server would notice that we barely ate any and ate everything else, but unfortunately she didn’t. Edamame was good though, good salt ratio. Sushi was okay at max, taste was good with enough wasabi and soy sauce. Rolls were cut very unevenly, hard to even put in your mouth. Flavor was okay, but also sub par. Fish did not seem as fresh, some slime coat on the salmon. Not worth the money I hope they figure it out. Read someone got sick so hopefully I don’t. Water was good though.

Wonderful hospitality first off! The tables were constantly filled throughout our stay though we didn’t have to wait for one. Plenty of free parking tucked into an older plaza.
Generous portions and fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the sauce on the Jazz roll. It’s a large menu, including other specials. So I very much appreciated being able to say what I like and do not like and was directed to a roll that was right for me. I would not hesitate to stop in here again!

For sushi it was ok. Our sushi came in a huge boat, great presentation. The service was good too, attentive. I really wanted to like this place, but the initial booth we sat in had a roach climbing up the wall… I pointed it out, and our server quickly took care of it. So we moved to a different booth. The server ended up giving my daughter a free dessert pudding which was nice of them. Thank you for that. But working in restaurants for many years myself, the roach was Unacceptable. We would have left before we even got our food, but we thought to give it a second chance. Don’t think we’ll be coming back any time soon.
