What a great lunch we had at Joy and Salt Café in Ship Bottom, LBI. The food was fantastic and Jimi (owner) was so kind and so funny. We will definitely be back to try lots of other options that were on the menu. There’s a big parking lot behind the restaurant. If you haven’t been there yet, give it a try!!! A++++

Joy and Salt has been on our list to visit since they opened and after reading many great reviews.
Well..,
They did Not disappoint!!!
We had the Frutti de Mar seafood in a pesto sauce with fresh pasta – perfectly done. The Berkshire pork chop with apple glaze lived up to its billing. Started with an excellent beet salad.
Great experience…The chef and team have a lot of prior experience chefing on the island, including the way-back original Black Eyed Susan’s.
They are keepers!❤️

Food is excellent! Our server was amazing! Had the Clam Corn chowder which was absolutely delicious, followed up by seared scallops and topped off with the warm apple crisp. Perfection in every bite! Super friendly servers and chef Jimmi. Will be back!

Grilled chicken sandwich with Calabrian chili sauce from Joy of Salt.
Normally I am not a huge chicken fan, but this chicken was very tender and deliciously charred. Simple, high quality ingredients.
Best hot coffee too.

Absolutely love Joy and Salt! The vodka penne is incredible, best in our area same with the chicken parm. Don’t miss out on the calamari, the Calabrian chili sauce is next level and the calamari is cooked perfect, we get it every time. If you are lucky enough to have the Italian seafood salad on special order it. It is like the epitome of an authentic Italian 7 fishes dish for Christmas Eve any time of year! The daily specials are consistently creative and delicious, which keeps us coming back to try something new. Great vibe, great service, amazing food.

We saw this place on a total whim and man was it worth it. Everyone was so genuinely friendly the moment we walked through the door. And after we ordered the chef double checked if we were alright with it being a slight wait, because everything is made fresh. Definitely worth the short wait because the food is divine. New favorite spot for sure!

First time here and we loved the friendliness of the staff and the food was delicious! Hubby had the chicken Parmesan, which was a very generous portion, while I had the short rib ragu. We shared the apple cobbler ala mode which was yummy. Definitely worth the trip over from the mainland.

Joy & Salt just opened last month and they are doing it right.
We started with the Calabrian chili calamari and it was the standout. Crispy, not greasy, real flavor. It is the kind of appetizer you can eat two of.
Sandwiches were strong across the board. I had the cheesesteak and it delivered. Ribeye, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and Cooper Sharp. Cooked perfectly, good ratio of meat to toppings, and it does not fall apart halfway through. My son got the chicken parmesan vodka sandwich and crushed it. One buddy had the meatball parmesan. The meatballs were clearly homemade, marinara had perfect acidity balance, mozzarella melted the way it should, no shortcuts. My other buddy got the Calabrian chili chicken sandwich. Great flavor and it does not just rely on spice to carry the whole thing.
Shoutout to Jimmy and the crew. Kayla was awesome. We will be back next time we are on the island.
