So, been wanting to try… stopped in tonight. Ordered fries Alaskan pollack with Cajun fries and hush puppies. Ok, it comes and the first thing I think is that’s a lot of food for $13.50. pretty tasty too, the ambiance was nice, the help was super friendly…maybe I was expecting to be a bit underwhelmed…but I’ll be back to try something else soon.

We went here for dinner with 3 people. Food tasted amazing but most clams were unopened and very undercooked. And another persons food was served only halfway missing every clam. The chef kept coming over randomly and checking. Overall it’s mid. Wouldn’t come again.

I was visiting my sista from another mista after 20 years. My godsister treated me to lunch. I love seafood. When you enter the building, it is larger than it seems from the outside. The booths were roomy. Service was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was laid-back with easy listening music.

Went at noon for lunch ready to order off their lunch menu but ended up ordering the “Today Special” instead. I love low country boils so this was a great choice. There were only 2 other tables seated and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. The decor inside is very vibrant and pleasing to the eye. I was unable to finish my whole meal and left with one corn, two potatoes, some shrimp and one cluster of crab and usually I can eat the whole thing. The “lemon pepper” flavor I chose was so delicious it like the regulars dry seasoning but something different and very freshening. I will definitely be back and trying to aim for this time frame again.

Joy Crab is my favorite seafood restaurant. the crab here is better than the crab by the beach. the atmosphere is amazing with extraordinarily unique decorations. The hostesses and waitresses are all extremely friendly and helpful. I love this restaurant, I go almost ever week.

Walked in on a Friday night place was empty. This place has just opened. It clean and well designed on the inside. Order onion rings for an appetizer. The onion rings were fine a little small on the portion but the sauce it came with was inedible I couldn’t even recognize what it was supposed to be. I asked the server what it was she didn’t know and had to find out. Supposed to marinara must have been bad. The salad was fine. My fried shrimp I could tell were hand breaded and they were very good but the Cole slaw didn’t match up. My wife had garlic butter crab legs. The amount of garlic over took the crab. I will say our server was very nice and friendly. There’s a disconnect with this place. It’s nice and friendly but the price doesn’t match the food presentation. Charging a premium price just to put food in a basket w wax paper isn’t going to cut it. Need to work on presentation and food execution.

Food was really good. I got the combination baby shrimp and fried catfish. It came with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. I was sure to get it salt and peppered and it was good. My friend got a half pound of snow crab legs with corn and she said it was excellent. She got the garlic butter flavor I think. We went for lunch which is served until 3:00. Really nice size portions for the price.

I called in an order and when my son picked the food up they only gave them half of the order. When he got back home my food wasn’t here so I called to let them know the young lady says “oh yeah its right here.” I let her know he was coming back and I would like my food to be fresh well bc its been sitting…long story short it wasn’t its the same food that had been sitting there.
Everything(fried fish/shrimp) was limp and cold.
Also the young lady that Joy Crab has answering the phone is very rude and lacks customer service.

Had boiled crabs and lobster. It tasted great with the sauce. Also had raw oysters liked them too. Our server was polite, well spoken and sweet.

Chicken were a hit, they were good. Fish could’ve used a bit more seasoning but other than that, it was good as well. Our server was friendly and very attentive. It’s a small family friendly environment. Not a big crowd. I would definitely go back.
