Located in an unassuming shopping plaza in Newport, Jot Indian is truly a hidden gem. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served hot. I’ve had Jot several times for takeout, but this was my first time dining in — and it definitely won’t be the last.
We started with the vegetable samosa, which was crisp, well-seasoned, and delicious. For our main dishes, we ordered the saag paneer and chicken tikka masala — both were excellent. Rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and served piping hot.
The service was top-notch. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and the entire dining experience was relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of food you receive.
If you enjoy Indian cuisine, Jot Indian is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended — can’t wait to come back!

Jot India is hands down my favorite place to dine! The staff is always so kind and welcoming, you truly feel appreciated the moment you walk in. The food is consistently AMAZING, full of flavor, and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is just awesome: warm, inviting, and perfect for any occasion. I love this place so much that I want to bring everyone I know here. If you haven’t tried Jot India yet, you’re seriously missing out!

While I was too busy to post photos of our meal, this restaurant is LOVELY!! The servers are just great, respectful, and kind. You can tell they are from higher service backgrounds also. The food is terrific, the portions are NORMAL. Imagine not getting too much or too little food, for the price?!?! Great flavoring, and I believe it is all fresh-I could be wrong. Atmosphere is good. I’m not certain what it should be, for a traditional Indian restaurant, but it is a lovely vibe here. Great food, will definitely return. Thank you!

Wife and I decided to stop here for date night and the food was out of this world! The only issue we had was not ordering the whole menu! I got the lamb curry (10/10!) and my wife got the chicken tikka masala and she loved it! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We will most definitely be back!

We had an amazing lunch here at Jott. We are celebrating and greatly appreciate the friendly and clean atmosphere. The dining room features white tablecloths with both table and booth seating as well as seating at the bar near the entrance. The restrooms were very clean and tidy. Our waiter was very attentive and offered fantastic recommendations. I wish they were located closer to where we live as I would visit every week!

The food is amazing! I had the chicken tikka masala, curry chicken, and garlic naan. The service was also great! You can tell they work together as two people took separate orders, another waiter brought the food, and when we were ready to pay, somebody else came with the bill. Jot India has the best Indian food in Newport, KY, and the best Indian food in Northern Kentucky!

Another great experience. Originally we went to longhorns but the service was nonexistent so we went to Jot- always reliable… awesome food, fast and friendly service and clean restaurant .. I love the chicken curry with the garlic naan and bhaturra bread. Yum!!

Absolutely thrilled that a really good Indian restaurant opened up here. We like our food spicy and I love their level 5 chicken curry. He always gets the tiki masala with green peppers and onions with the highest spice level. Both were very good today but honestly His was awesome! I don’t always try because there is a spice in that dish I do not love. I am glad I tried it today though as the spice level was awesome and the green pepper and onion adds so much to this dish!
I love the naan bread and bhaturra bread- far more then I should 🙂
We both look forward to the buffet so we can try the other flavors… we love what we get here so it’s hard to switch it up.

Always a great experience and meal here. High quality, traditional Indian food cooked in real butter and ghee the way Indian food should be made. Highly recommend this place!
