A little loud in here with the local chatter, as this has a very small dining area. Chicken was good. Sides are your typical for the south. Plenty of Okra. Desserts were good. Canned Sodas, Fresh Lemomade and plenty of Sweet Tea for the drink choices.

The food was so delicious. You have to wait in a line for service but you would never be disappointed. The restaurant is small but it had a great vibe. The vegetables were what I would definitely recommend because they were soft but not overcooked. Please come visit this lovely restaurant if you stop by this small town.

Outstanding!!! The menu consists of a variety of good old-fashioned soul food, cooked by women who know their way around the kitchen. I patronize that establishment as often as I can. You should visit Josie’s. You will love the food, especially their fried fish on Fridays. The staff are very friendly and sweet, give Josie’s a try.

I go here every Thursday for the hamburger steak. Their mac n cheese is something I really look forward to throughout the week. Great southern home cooking. I can’t help it, but I go all out when I order: double mac n cheese, black eyed peas, collards AND a fried chicken breast to sop up the gravy from the hamburger steak. The only negative is that they get really, really busy sometimes and when they do I don’t bother. It sometimes takes about 30-45 minutes to get in and out. When I time it right, though, I can get in and out in 10-15 minutes. Thursday lunch at Josie’s is definitely the one lunch day I look forward to the most. Wednesdays they have ranch chicken as well, which is also delicious, and Fridays, if you can brave the crowd, they do fried fish.

Always great cooking here. Wednesdays is ranch chicken day and no one else’s compares to theirs. Thurs they serve hamburger steak, which is tender and juicy. The sides are always good and everything is seasoned just right. Their fried chicken has the crunchiest breading. I can’t resist getting a piece even if I’m ordering something else. I’d post a picture but it’s always gone before I think about posting a review.
