I was driving by one day and stopped for breakfast between errands. The food just tastes… wrong. Pancakes taste like baking soda, syrup is missing any taste of maple, corned beef hash is obviously from a can and is so mushy it almost seems puréed. I’m not sure how the rating here are so high. I love little family owned breakfast places and diners and I’m not a picky eater, but this was inedible. I ate half a pancake and took the rest of my food to go (to be tossed). Also majorly needs some sound paneling.

This restaurant’s food is really good and is worth the wait. They make their own homemade bread for French toast and homemade muffins too. The staff here are super friendly and the place is well maintained even though they are slightly understaffed.

Absolutely phenomenal!! They may have been short staffed but honestly, it didn’t take away from their customer service nor quality of food. The homefries had flavor, the western omelet delicious, and don’t get me started on their fluffy homemade bread! This place is a gem! Our waitress Taylor… she was something special! She put a candle in our kiddos birthday fruit bowl and even sang, the little things that add up to phenomenal customer service! We can’t wait to come back! Thannnnk you Josie’s corner for a wonderful breakfast!

A HIDDEN GEM on a small side street. The best customer service I have ever had from a diner. The food was delicious. My husband found this gem in passing so we decided to give it a try. We love going to different diners for breakfast so we gave it a shot. Amazing! From the greeting, to the service to the food to the goodbye it was a great experience and we left there with smiles and a full stomach. The home fries had amazing flavor, my over egg was perfect, they make their own bread and I had the honey wheat with butter delicious and tried their French toast which was a cinnamon swirl French toast to be exact and I cleaned my plate. Our waitress Taylor was an absolute doll, all smiles, and the friendliest person. Entire staff was working, laughing, smiling, cleaning and taking care of customers. The manager Janet she was sweet as pie and you can tell why the staff loves what they do and enjoy coming to work. I recommend this diner to whoever wants a great, pleasant experience in CT. This place can change your mind and most diners need to take some plays out of Josie’s restaurant’s play book. Amazing service. Thank you for yesterday and I’ll be back today.

Josie’s Corner is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch restaurants! The service is always amazing. The food is always delicious. I recommend the Philly Benedict and the Hamburger Omelet! Very interesting twists on breakfast classics! I also recommend going on weekdays if you can since they are usually packed on the weekends. I went on a Sunday and waited 20 minutes but it was completely worth it!
