Great little truck these guys are working hard it has a buzzer system like the old restaurants used to have so you don’t have to wait outside they’ll give you the buzzer after you do your order it’ll ring you bring it back up and pick up your item great they are up to date.

I’ve eaten at this food truck three times and it seems that the current location behind a QuikTrip on the east side of Des Moines is more or less permanent. The food is excellent–i usually get a burrito with chorizo. This served with cooked onions on the side along with hot sauce. The best burrito in Iowa, I think. Staff is friendly and courteous and the kitchen appears to be clean and well maintained.

I’m currently at Jose’s Tacos, and I have to say, the burgers here are absolutely amazing! I know it’s a taco spot, but trust me, their burgers are a hidden gem. The patty was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the bun was fresh, and the toppings were just right. It’s clear they put a lot of care into every dish they serve.
On top of the incredible food, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. If you’re in the area, this place is a must-try—whether you’re here for tacos or their surprisingly fantastic burgers. Highly recommend!

Amazing food!! Great prices can feed a family of 8 for $36. Burritos are so big 3 people can share one! Tacos are always amazing. Everything comes with grilled onions. Still amazing

I had tacos al pastor, which is my favorite. The meat is seasoned just right and with onions and a little cilantro it’s mind boggling how good it is however some of my onions were so big and still in the onion shape that it didn’t get cooked and it literally was biting into a raw onion. The smaller onions were grilled and tasted so good but they were scarce since the big hunk of onion was considered many pieces. Given that information know that it was a taco that is 2nd to none in my opinion…. Onion or no onion… I will be back and I will get the same tacos al pastor with onions and a little cilantro.

Really good tacos! Keep in mind his Asada (Beef) tacos come with cheese so if you don’t want cheese let him know! Also the Al pastor options here are delicious! I highly recommend the huaraches! Portion sizes are sooo good! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.
