This place is a gem. Don’t miss it. The lake is full of Mexican places but none comes close to Jose’s for authenticity, selection, quality and taste. They also have a great selection of tequila and Bourbon. We have yet to find something in the menu we didn’t like. Get the Mexican Fries for a great appetizer. We had the Quesadilla Caliente, the Chiri-Pollo, the tacos and brisket enchiladas. The brisket is amazing!

Had an online order on Wednesday for 2 Texas ACP, one kid ACP and one ground beef nacho. After a whole misunderstanding about me getting charged for somebody else’s order and getting that refunded, I get home and was missing a whole $20 Texas ACP and the extra chips I requested. My daughters nachos hardly had any ground beef on them compared to the ones we get in town. When I tried to call about the missing food, the man acted like he couldn’t understand me. We live 20 minutes away and I couldn’t drive back out that night. This was the first time we had ever been to this location and we will definitely not be back. Very disappointed. The food wasn’t even as good as the one in town either.

We grabbed take out on the way home from a lake visit. We ordered chicken chimichangas and they were fresh and delicious. The sides were beans and rice with a nice serving of lettuce, diced tomatoes and sour cream. The cheese sauce was delicious. Our meals came with tortilla chips, salsa and the best white sauce I think we’ve ever had. Happy with our first visit to this much anticipated restaurant! Our wait after ordering at the restaurant was about 20 or so minutes, with a small amount of confusion on our order. Next time we will plan better and call ahead. The portions were great, we actually could have split a meal. They do offer lunch specials as well. This is a new location and we are hoping they do well!

Stopped for lunch. Our waitress Hailey brought us salsa, white sauce and chips. The white sauce is like nothing we’ve ever had! So yummy! I had the lunch portion steak fajitas they were so good and there was so much food! Hubby had steak quesadilla and was not disappointed! Quesadilla was full of steak, mushrooms and cheese sauce! If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth stopping for! Hailey was a great waitress!

I’ve heard and read great things about Jose’s but that’s not my experience. The service was as if I was bothering them by being there, no smiles really. The chips were good, I was only offered salsa, no white sauce, and I didn’t bother asking because the servers didn’t seem friendly. I guess there was a salsa bar, saw someone use it but i wouldn’t know as the server didn’t mention it. The food was nice large portions but the flavor wasn’t there, very bland. The refried beans were more like a soup. Neither myself or my husband finished our meal. I just wasn’t impressed unfortunately and probably won’t bother going back.

Im not even that old but i remember when a burrito would cost at most 16$ but i just got back from here ordered one burrito and my bill was 30 bucks. No add ons or anything am I going crazy or is that ridiculous? I aint got it like that but if i did i wouldnt pay that much for a burrito anyhow. Also those menus online must be old bc there wasnt a burrito less than 20$ in the one at the resteraunt.

Really liked this place. I got the nachos supreme and my wife got the carinatas tacos and both were great, especially the double wrapped delicious tortillas on the tacos. The beans on the nachos were… Interesting, but we really liked this place and will definitely be back. The nice big draft of beer was appreciated too.

First time we ate here it was perfect! Food was great and so was the service. This was our second time back and the website along with the door shows they close at 10:30 and upon entering the building we were told by a staff member that they just decided to close at 9 because it was just 2 people working and “they just couldn’t keep doing it” but they had a couple people at the bar and a table eating. So I guess this business prefers to turn a table and money away.

On the day my girlfriend and I went she thought it was Taco Tuesday it was chicken wing Wednesday. She still got her chicken taco though she absolutely loves them she says they are the only place the cooks the chicken write and pulls it apart the right way and doesn’t just do it in chunks. However the air conditioner was out that day and we were the only customers and it was excruciatingly hot. But the server was Johnny on the spot super polite and very friendly. So once the air gets fixed we’ll probably end up going back so I can get a true first opinion of this restaurant my girlfriend talks so much about.
