During a cross country trip – we stayed in Santa Rosa and ate at Joseph’s. Quirky and fun. Unique vibe inside – very old Route 66. Food and service were great.

Not a lot of choices in this town, thought this was going to be great because of the reviews. Ordered take out, big mistake. The salad, which I thought would be a vegetable salad, since there was no options other than dressing. It had cheese and over cooked, re-heated chicken on it, cucumbers had been frozen. The side veg was microwaved frozen corn, they didn’t even drain the water. The rice was cold, not cooked through and completely stuck together in a lump. The pizza, meh. What a waste of money and time.

I placed a to go order over the phone. I ordered Chicken Chalupas, a large Root Beer Float and a small Pizza de Santa Rosa. I was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. It really took 25 minutes, but it was worth the wait. The food was fresh and delicious, and it was packed with care, including salsa and sour cream for the Chalupas. They also included plastic silverware and napkins, which was helpful.

HOW does this place have less than 4 stars?? My Pop and I went in on our road trip from Utah to Alabama and had a wonderful experience. Our server was so kind, the food was delicious, the margaritas were balanced, and our to-go slice of pie was phenomenal! Some places feel gimmicky about the route 66 thing, but since this place has been around so long it feels like an original part of the route’s fame! Definitely stop by!

It’s so wonderful when you’re in a small town and you’re studying your food options, and the one you finally pick leaves you with no regrets. Such is the story with this great bar and grill. Welcomed with a friendly greeting upon entry, I opted for a seat at the bar, in part because I was traveling alone. Again, I was greeted immediately by the bar tender. While not on the menu, he prepared a perfect Old Fashioned for me in the perfect lowball glass and the customary cherry. I took my food to go and was delighted with the Jose’s Mexican combo. The chile could be a little more flavorful for my tastes but oh so fresh and overall delicious. Good representation of quality New Mexican food. Cheers!

My husband had been here a number of times before years ago and was excited to be back. We were greeted and seated quickly, and our wait staff was also prompt. I had the tamales but was undecided if I wanted Red or green sauce so they kindly offered me a little of each on the side. LOVED the green!! Nice little gift shop in the restaurant as well. It was a nice, family friendly atmosphere.

Located on Route 66 it’s like going back in time. The sign said “since 1959”. The menu has a good variety, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, salads and a few dinners. Service was great and the food arrived quickly.

I was driving from Toronto to Phoenix. I stopped in Santa Rosa. I stayed at a place I’ve stayed before and spyed a restaurant/bar across the road.
I really liked the place, Joseph’s.
Their new bar, in the sports bar is quite happening. They had live music, testing out the sound. They were very pleasant. I ordered a chicken club, to go. It was very good. I had a couple of drinks. Javier knows his job…the drinks were wonderful.
The whole deal made me want to stay in Santa Rosa for a few days.

Food was very good. The service was great, and the seving sizes were very big portions for the price.
The menu was eclectic, so you can get pizza, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, and so much more. Something for everyone. I will definitely make this a stopping point point when passing through town.
