If you’re looking for real, down-home cooking, this is the place! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with smiles and the smell of good food! The portions are generous, the prices are great, and they make you feel welcomed! I had turkey wings, collards, and cabbage, all delicious! Everything was so good that I got oxtails, green beans and mac-n-cheese to go! It was also delicious! I highly recommend Josephine’s! I can’t wait to go back!

This place is a hidden gem. I just learned about it recently and visited for my first time. I imagined it would be a large restaurant, but it was not. Just guessing I would think maybe 50 people can be seated at full capacity but I’m not certain.
The first thing I noticed as we walked to the door was the smiles on people’s faces as they returned to their vehicles with bags of food in their arms. Upon entering, we noticed about 20 people waiting to order their food and considered leaving. However, there was a very friendly gentleman sitting near the door who engaged us with a great conversation. As we spoke, I noticed the line was moving pretty quickly. I observed the process and realized that the food was already prepared and customers walked a line like at K&W restaurants. The amount of food on customers plates in front of us looked so plentiful and delicious that we couldn’t make up our minds on what we desired. It was just two of us but we walked out with five plates. The meats were chitterlings, pigs feet, ox tail, turkey wings, and grilled ribs. The side dishes were collards, potato salad, kidney beans, cabbage, macaroni & cheese, & yams. Everything was delicious!
The staff members were very friendly and we didn’t know until we got to the register that drinks were included in the price of the dinners.
We will definitely return in the future and I highly recommend you trying this place for yourself! This was the best tasting country food we’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time!

This was my first visit and I loved it! The staff greeted me as I walked in. I received great service with a smile at the counter. I could tell they appreciate their customers (which is rare with some of these restaurants lately). Now for the food! It was outstanding! Everything was perfectly seasoned. The portions were great! And I will return! Everything looked so good I did takeout and my husband and I tried the turkey wings, ribs, stew beef, cabbage, collards, yams, & hush puppies! Everything was very good! My husband had pigs feet, he liked those as well. I can’t complain about not one thing!
