Not to mention, the food was delicious as well! We ordered the steak tartare, escargot, and oysters for the appetizers and would definitely order them again. My friends enjoyed the steak frites while I got the boeuf bourguignon. A pet peeve of mine is when the frites are an afterthought for the meal, however, these were the complete opposite. Throughout the night, I snuck off my friend’s plates because they were so addictive. For dessert we loved the creme brûlée, typically, I am not a sweets person, yet, this was an exception.
The interior was beautiful and the ambiance made it a great environment for the company. We all had a great time. I once again, praise the team for being so understanding and kind. We felt well taken care of and I definitely recommend Josephine’s to celebrate a special occasion!
The customer service is truly above and beyond, and the food is outstanding. Our steak dinner was cooked perfectly, and the drinks were superb, clearly made with care.
The waiter was completely on point from start to finish, attentive without being overbearing. A special shout-out to David Jones, the manager, who was amazing. He checked in on us throughout the evening and genuinely made us feel welcomed and appreciated.
This was our second visit, and somehow it was even better than the first-which already had great service and incredible food. Being invited back made the experience feel extra special. No complaints at all. We’ll absolutely be returning and recommending Josephine’s to others.
Highly recommend dining here!
Thanks again! 🙂
I went for a company dinner and the service was amazing. I ordered the Onion Soup Gratinée as my starter which was DELICIOUS! My entree was the Boeuf Bourguignon which looked amazing but I was honestly so disappointed in the lack of flavor. The beef and sauce it came in had no flavor. For desert I had the Opera Cake which was really rich and delicious. Overall I’d be interested in coming back but will be trying a different entree.
We enjoyed a selection of dishes that truly impressed us. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, the French onion soup was rich and comforting, and the terrine was beautifully prepared. Each dish showcased quality ingredients and thoughtful execution. Paired with an excellent wine recommendation, the meal exceeded our expectations from start to finish.
The ambiance is what truly completes the experience. The interior design transports you to a classic Parisian brasserie, with its elegant décor, warm lighting, and inviting atmosphere. It’s a place that encourages you to relax, savor each bite, and enjoy the moment. Josephine is a wonderful choice for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or anyone looking to indulge in an authentic taste of France.
Duck Confit Skillet: The flavors were there, but the duck fell short, confit should be meltingly tender, and this wasn’t. Without that softness, the skillet loses its luxury.
Chocolate Hazelnut ice cream: The ice cream had an unusual texture, it wasn’t creamy and smooth like traditional ice cream. It felt somewhere in between.
Riz au lait (rice pudding): The dessert was edible, but disappointing. It was far too runny and the flavor was muted. Riz au lait should be creamy and spoonable, not as watery as it was.
Have some mixed feelings on the food. Was excited for the Escargot but it was a disappointment—so bland, like they used unsalted butter or forgot to add any salt/seasoning, and the puff pastry was dry. Foie Gras Parfait was okay, very light mousse texture. Onion Soup Gratinée was well flavored. Strip au Poivre and Trout Amandine were both decent—steak was tender and flavorful, but the trout dish was on the bland side so I had to ask for salt. For dessert, we got the Apple Tart Tatin and since we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave us a complimentary Crème Brûlée which was pretty good—and brought out a sparkler!
