The menu feels thoughtful and unique. The oxtail dumplings are my favorite bite — it’s nearly impossible to order just one round. I also love the tomato tartar and the octopus carpaccio, and you truly can’t leave without ordering one of the paellas (the seafood is my favorite so far). I also just recently tried the burger which was perfect.
For dessert, do not skip the Basque cheesecake — it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. The Torrija is another standout — just all around amazing.
Chef David has created something truly special here, and it’s a beautiful addition to the city!
When we first arrived the atmosphere was elegant and beautiful. We were promptly seated and the bartender gave us an overview of the menu and how the food will be coursed. We ordered mocktails that were absolutely delicious. From start to finish, the service was welcoming, knowledgeable and professional.
The food was amazing! The pan de tomate was one of my favorites. Even if some of the food is outside your comfort zone, it is still approachable and delicious, definitely go for it! The mushrooms, dumplings, tomato tartar, vegetable rice and octopus carpaccio were stand out dishes for us but everything was flavorful and gone quickly! Several gluten free and vegetarian options were available as well.
The attention to detail in the dishes, drinks, service and ambiance were impeccable. From the glassware, balsamic pearls, thorough recommendations to the bathrooms, everything was carefully thought out.
I can’t wait to return, thanks for an amazing birthday dinner!
Standout tapas: the oxtail dumplings and the cod.
From the mains: pork ibérico and the octopus were incredible.
The paella could’ve used a bit more rice and was slightly burnt, but the whole chicken in it was delicious.
We’ll definitely be back!
The drinks were excellent (balanced, creative, and well-crafted), and the food absolutely delicious. Every dish was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared.
And whatever you do, don’t leave without getting the oxtail dumplings. They were easily the standout of the night.
Already looking forward to going back!
Our server was kind and attentive (probably the most positive thing of the night), promptly taking our drink and food orders. Unfortunately, this is where the issues began. We ordered the oxtail dumplings, papita bravas, fried cod, and shrimp as tapas, along with the seafood rice as our main entrée. The oxtail dumplings that arrived did not resemble the dish shown online, which we assumed may have been a quality control issue given how busy the restaurant was. The papita bravas and fried cod were good, but nothing particularly memorable.
Our shrimp tapas never arrived. We waited approximately an hour and a half before the table was set for the seafood rice. By the time it finally came out, we were exhausted and only managed a few bites before asking to have the rest packed to go.
The two tables next to us (who had been seated before we arrived) also appeared frustrated due to missing dishes, which suggested our issues were not isolated.
Overall, while the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff, there are clear areas that need improvement to deliver a better dining experience.
The desserts were just okay. The churros were extremely overpriced, and the portion size was almost laughable. The Basque cheesecake was tasty, but not the best I’ve had.
The service also needs improvement, though I’m hoping this is just opening-night growing pains. We were seated promptly, but it took a long time for our order to be taken and for anyone to check on us. There were only two servers covering the entire first floor, which likely contributed to the delays.
The space itself is beautifully decorated and the interior design is very nice; however, the bright lighting and loud music felt mismatched. I wasn’t quite sure what vibe they were going for, and the overall atmosphere felt a bit off.
Overall, I think this place still needs some work. I hope it does well, but based on our first visit, I’m not sure how it will fare in Baltimore City.
