What seemed to look likevitvwAs going to be a good meal turned out not to be. The tasty 4 star rating it had did not match our 5 star taste buds. The food looked great but it failed to taste yummy. The service from our server was pretty much ok and just ok. He must of been been having a bad day or just didn’t really wanna earn his tip. Prices were way to high even for the lunch promos. The restaurant environment was cutesy and original. The restrooms were surprisingly clean and fresh. We won’t be coming back and I highly do not recommend.

My boyfriend and I were very disappointed with this place. The only good thing about our meal was the service; all of the staff we encountered were very friendly. After being seated we realized it was absolutely freezing in the restaurant (and I was wearing a cardigan). We told a staff member it was cold (he agreed) and asked to be moved to a “warmer” area. We were moved, but it was still cold. I ordered a vegetarian combo that included a bean burrito, cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. When it was brought out the first thing I noticed was that the burrito AND the enchilada were covered with the same sauce. Burrito sauce. No brown Adobe sauce for the enchilada. I take my first bite and the food is lukewarm. My boyfriend ordered chicken tacos with rice and beans. His food was also lukewarm and the chicken was very dry. Our nice waiter came over and asked how everything was and I said, “Disappointing!”. He apologized and asked why and I told him. I let him know that I knew it wasn’t HIS fault. After eating less than half of our food, we told the waiter to take our plates away and bring the check. Of course they didn’t comp anything. We left the waiter a very good tip. We won’t be back. BTW, we had intended to go to El Rey #2 Tacos & Tequila; their food is EXCELLENT! But I drove to the wrong place and we decided to go in and give it a try. Big mistake!

Went here for a work function, very middle of the road Mexican chain. Service was spotty and the quality was average. Would probably come back but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

My first time trying Jose Tequilas and it was fantastic! First, the service was outstanding. And the food was absolutely delicious! We had the Super Burrito and Surf n Turf Street Tacos. The portions are huge so be sure to bring your appetite! Topped it off with a frozen margarita-sangria drink that was both pretty to look at and really tasty. I highly recommend Jose Tequilas and will definitely be going back!

Rachel and David served us and they were so attentive. The food compared to the last time I went was amazing. My only complaint was the menu was so sticky I did wipe down each page for the next diner! I want to return!

One of the best burritos I have had. Overall really good Mexican food. The rice and beans also very good. Tried a few other plates and other dishes were also good. Birria tacos were great. Nachos were good but missing lettuce, tomato, etc. Without drinks you’re looking at about $15 per person so not bad for the quality of food.

My husband and I tried out this restaurant. The waiter took great care of us, even exchanging a drink that wasn’t my “cup of tea” with no issue. I had the most amazing ribs (I didn’t expect them to be so good) stuffed with shrimp crab fries and chorizo. It was so delicious! My husband had Fajitas Texanas and it came out hot and steamy tasting great as a favorite of his! I’d recommend this restaurant while in Norfolk.

Yummy ! Would definitely go due to the food being fresh, hit and yummy when coming to the table. The Mexican corn was a hit and I wish I asked for some spicy seasoning lol. If you are in the area and want a quick and satisfying bite, please try them MFS the staff was super friendly and kind. The prices can’t be beat and they have plenty of food options on the menu.

The food is good. Price is reasonable. I’ve been to various other Mexican restaurants that make this one mediacore. Don’t go hungry as some dishes like the fish tacos, although good, not filling. I’m a root beer girl, and this place didn’t have it either. 🙁
