I went here with my family the first time since new ownership. I got the shrimp habanero. It was delicious. However the shrimp was cold so I didn’t make a big deal about it but the chef himself came out with it personally and apologized. I didn’t want it to be a spectacle but man when that’s hot it’s great the manager came by and asked how it was and she assumed responsibility. But it’s not just this. the attitude and attentiveness of the staff is impeccable. I would definitely recommend the “beans in a bowl” that comes as a side dish to the habanero shrimp.
I gave it 5 stars because it probably the best service I’ve had in downtown Salina.

Stopped in here while in town. The bartender, Kellye was very pleasant and engaging. She was able to offer suggestions and followed up. If you go, definitely see Kellye she’s awesome!! Food was okay for tex mex, chips and salsa were good. I had the carnitas chimichanga, the Verde sauce on top was not my favorite, it comes with rice and beans. Chile con queso was also just okay, tasted a little bit like Velveeta. I also ordered the tres leches, it was decent!

Excellent food and prices! There staff is so attentive and everything comes out quick even when it’s busy. The Tex mex menu was a great addition to our evolving down town area. I don’t always rave about new chain restaurants going in, but my family and I enjoy it so much! The spinach dip is a must every time.

Jose Peppers in downtown Salina is a must-try for anyone craving delicious Tex-Mex flavors served hot! The menu boasts a great selection, with plenty of categories ranging from lunch to dinner. They also have separate menus for daily specials and drinks. The restaurant has a modern interior with plenty of seating, and I noticed that it was very clean, including the tables. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even better. I’m already looking forward to trying more menu items because the food is great!

Showed up with a party of 5, and we were quickly seated and served without any issue. The exterior and interior of the restaurant is very nice, well decorated and tasteful.
Parking was easy (for us) and we were able to snag a parking spot right outside the front door.
Most of the party ordered the fried tacos, and that single taco, with rice and beans was a lot of food! The beans were a bit too salty for my tastes, but aside from that everything was delicious.
And the price was unbelievably reasonable – we all left happy, with our stomachs (and wallets!) comfortably full.
I will definitely be coming back, this time on an empty stomach, so I can try some of the other bigger dishes without hurting myself.

We love Jose Pepper’s! It’s my favorite Mexican Restaurant. The food is always served fast, it’s hot, plated great and tastes wonderful. They offer beef, chicken and seafood Mexican entrees. There are also gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu. Great variety!

I’ve been here 3 times and it has been amazing! The most recent time, not so good. Our server never refilled our drinks. He got my order wrong as well. The worst part, there was a piece of metal in my food!!! Male waiter with curly hair needs to do better.

Everytime we have gone the place is packed. They seat you quickly, and even as busy as they are your food comes quickly, and its delicious. Even on holidays. We went on mothers day. No empty tables around. Still got fast, friendly service.

I had a margarita 2 times. Both times it was delicious. The price is good. I’ll pay a little more for quality good food. I recommend going here. I think its the best mexican food in Salina.
