Interesting mix of the Polish Platter included Dill Pickle soup, a first for me and rather good! The perogies were amazing only wish they were more than one! Housemade guacamole and margarita were awesome too. Warm and friendly atmosphere, highly recommend!

Great location in East Grand Rapids. Has front and back patio seating. Unfortunately they don’t allow dogs on patio The indoor acoustics are terrible, if it’s busy in there it is super loud, some sections the tables are very close together and feels like its hard for customers and staff to navigate/ feels too packed. Absolutely love the pierogis appetizer 10/10. Margaritas are great! But most other items on menu are bland/below average; quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and tacos; wouldn’t order again..

We decided to revisit this place on a whim. First impressions this visit weren’t too good when we were asked to share a menu bc they were short on them. This was quite surprising for a restaurant that wasn’t even half full. The waitress was sweet but didn’t seem too knowledgeable on the menu. So I wasn’t expecting much… but the food changed my mind.
The dill pickle soup and the chicken Garcia chimi were amazing. So much good flavor and I rarely say that when I’m out and about. Drinks were ok and the kielbasa and potato pancakes were pretty good. Huge portions!
One little word of advice to Jose Babushka’s is you might want to consider updating the menu available online so it matches what’s available in house. Other than that, I enjoyed this place!
I think if a restaurant was ever to embody me, this might be the place! A fusion of Polish and Mexican!

Stopped here after Art Prize. Very friendly staff. Food presentation was great. My sister and brother inlaw love the food. I have never been there. Some things were a bit spicy for my taste. The chips were too salty. But overall it was a great experience for the group as a whole.

My family & I were waiting for Gordon Ramsay to walk through the door. This place had 3 tables they were serving on a Saturday night. By the looks, sounds, & atmosphere you would think this would be a 5 star dining experience. Pretty bad. Pricey, & cooks that simply do not care. Wait staff was average, not very inviting. I ordered the stacked tostadas, & as you can see it was covered in queso. The steak on my tostadas tasted sour. We also ordered the chips & salsa. Our salsa had a piece of avocado in it that didn’t look fresh. Especially because it wasn’t supposed to be in there! Pretty odd. This place needs a chef make over. Hate to say it, but horrible experience.

Good eats! The menu is more Mexican than Polish. But the pierogis and Polish fingers were spot on! All Mexican was fabulous.

This place was amazing, from the atmosphere, service, cooks, food and the layout. We had only one issue and that was with the menu there were things that weren’t supposed to be on the menu but was and the salad that we ordered was updated with new and improved options but wasn’t noted on the menu. We had gotten it all figured out and our order was fixed. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone and I will be coming back. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and the great food.

Ended up giving the leftovers to our dogs. Food is bland at best. I’m saying that, being a chef myself. Waitress was short and not worth interacting with. Old Fashion had way to much ice.

I am polish and love polish food, I tried this place and was extremely disappointed as this was not traditional polish food, the concept was correct but the execution failed. I got the polski plate. The kielbasa was extremely blackened by the cooking method, the potato fingers were completely over fried and to crispy, the sauerkraut was disturbing, the pierogies were bland and cold. The pickle soup was cold and zero flavor minus the over powering of pickles. This should have raised a red flag as they serve both Polish and Mexican food. Do not go here if you like a good polish meal, this is a novelty that needs to go away.
