It’s ok. Not really really good not bad. Pizza crust needs improvement. Cheese is perfect!! Pizza sauce is too sweet. Liked the fries here. They were perfectly done. Service was amazing. Atmosphere is cool.

We were staying the night in Calais, before heading over the border to the Bay of Fundy. At Jo’s we found delicious veggie pizza with really great service. The man who worked there was very friendly and helpful.

We were on vacation in the area decided to have a quiet night in with some pizza. Best pizza my husband and I have ever had!! We ordered a stromboli and a stuffed crust loaded pizza. They were both so amazing! The pizza was perfect with just the right amount of sauce and it was not over powering. The stromboli was delicious, I have never had one so I can’t compare it to previous experiences but it was so good, I don’t think it can ever be beat! We were so happy we ordered alot of food, we ate it for lunch for the next 3 days and it was even fantastic as a reheat. 5/5 recommend!!!

Jo’s Diner and Pizzeria is the cutest, quaint, and unique little spot. This was my first time in years crossing the border to explore, and my spouse wanted to indulge in one of his favorite places. So, Jo’s we chose. My spouse used to routinely visit this place as a teenager and swore they had the best pizza in town, and boy, he wasn’t wrong. To start, we ordered garlic & cheese bread. The marinara it came with tasted fresh. The garlic and cheese bread was the perfect amount of crisp and cheesy, just the way I like it. Next, we received our pizza. I was actually surprised by the size of the sausage pieces on our pizza. In most places we’ve ordered from in the past, it’s usually small. But this place? No skimming in the toppings department! It was so delicious. From the cheese to the crust, it was so good. This was the best pizza I’ve had in a long, long time. What made our experience even more enjoyable was our lovely hostess/server. She was incredibly professional and very warm. I liked the service a lot. We didn’t wait long (and even if we had to, I wouldn’t have minded one bit). The decor and atmosphere added a very nice touch to our pizza date experience. My personal favorite was spotting the SpongeBob SquarePants items in the fish tank. I absolutely loved dining here, and we will definitely be back. I would recommend checking out this spot when you’re passing through!

I dont know what is happening with Joe’s. Used to be my favorite place to order food. Last night I placed an order for delivery. I started trying to call at 6:20pm. At 6:26 I was placed on hold, I hung up and started calling again was placed on hold at 6:34 shortly after placing my order. At 7:26 I called asking where the order was. They said it’s on its way. The delivery driver only dropped off our sodas. My son asked where’s the food. He said he would be right back he must have forgot it. No worries…well at 8:13 I called again asking where the food was. At this point the kids are tired and hungry. At 8:37 their food was delivered without the salads. Shortly after they did deliver the salads. Now let’s talk about the food. It was cold, one of the pasta dishes didn’t even have sauce or meatballs and the other had hardly any pasta and odd sausage!! What is going on at my favorite home town restaurants

Kid friendly menus. It was busy when we went there were only dirty tables available so we sat at a table with dirty plates, cups and napkins while deciding what to order. Walked to the counter, stood in line, and ordered. Seating ourselves didn’t bother me. It did take longer than it should for them to clean off the empty tables for new customers who entered. I didn’t like that you couldn’t substitute fries when ordering meals. (But it wasn’t the end of the world, kids still got what they wanted)For example, my son wanted mozzarella sticks with his tenders, so I had to buy the tenders and mozzarella sticks instead of it being one meal. The menu does say no substitutions, which I didn’t notice until I ordered, so had I paid attention, I would have known
The cinnamon bread was delicious. I highly recommend that dessert.
My teenage step son ate a 9in pep. Pizza himself, daughter had hotdog and fries. I had a chicken burger, which was decent, and my bf had a cheeseburger.
You definitely get your moneys worth in food. And I’ve had the pizza before it was delicious. I wanted to try a local restaurant vs McDonald’s and I have to say it wasn’t bad.

Great pizzas, salads, and you have to try the loaded Steak bomb sub! The small staff is constantly hustling to keep up with a busy place but they do so with a smile. You get your food quickly, it’s hot, and really tasty! It’s a great place to take a family because the prices are perfect. They don’t get upset when you need to custom order some thing and they’ll do their best to make it exactly what you want. If you’re in Calais it’s a great place to stop anytime of the day. They even serve pizza at 10 AM! Great place for kids, families, and smaller groups. Place is not large enough to accommodate groups larger than 6 to 8 people. Be patient! They have a really small staff and they do a heck of a takeout and delivery business! Highly recommend

Usually we enjoy the service & food at Jo’s Diner but the last few times we have ordered food we have not had the best experience. We had an issue once with the food itself and the manager quickly resolved it. Today we waited over an hour for a take out order, I had young kids with me and couldn’t take everyone out of the car to go in so I selected curbside pick up. I checked in at 5:20pm and when I still hadn’t received an update or my food at 5:55pm I sent my oldest daughter in. She was handed the food (some cold at this point), and told “sorry we couldn’t bring it out”. Why not call or text the customer with an update though? Just frustrating. I understand it’s a Saturday evening but maybe they need to have more staff available. I worked as a waitress for years and never gave this kind of service to customers.
