Great place. Would def go again. The kids burger was big enough for a grown man. I had the seafood pasta and a pancake on the side. Pancake was good. Burger was good. Pasta was a little fishy and expensive but not bad. Loved the little activity for the kids.

First time at Jo’s Diner and we loved it! We ordered the country breakfast plate and the chicken and waffles — both were absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was great, and the staff made us feel welcome right away. Such a fun, classic diner atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Came to Jo’s with the recommendation of a local. When I looked up directions it showed the restaurant being a lot busier than normal so I assumed I’d have to wait and it must be good. When I arrived, it was a ghost town. Only one couple in the establishment. From the outside, it looks very plain. Once you walk in, it was the old school 50s or 60s vibe with the floor, decor, etc. It could have better lighting. I was welcomed right away and the waitress was fantastic, very personable, checked on you just enough to make sure your drink stayed fill and everything was alright. She did an amazing job. Now, to the food. I was extremely disappointed. Being that you know they make it to order in a diner, and local diners are always known for great food, this fell way below my expectations. The app was indeed cheesy, but so much so, they were uneatable. The cheesesteak and fries should be easy enough to make, especially considering there were only 2 tables with patrons in the entire restaurant. Well, the fries were undercooked and still raw in the middle, I ate them anyway since you won’t get sick eatting a raw potato, but I couldn’t finish the fries. Then the cheesesteak….the bun is way to large and hard for a Philly steak, and I know, because I grew up in Philly. The steak, instead on being shaved thin steak was like tough steak nuggets placed on the sandwich with barely enough cheese to call it a cheesesteak. This will sound harsh, but with the 100s of cheesesteaks I’ve eaten across the country, this is without question, the worst one I’ve ever had. Finally, if it couldn’t get worse. I ordered a chocolate shake for dessert. The shake was good, but at $7 for a 16oz shake, its a rip off. Avoid the shake and go to a fast food place and get same quality shake, twice as big, for less. Now I don’t like to give bad reviews, and I hope it is taken as constructive criticism. I am sure their breakfast is amazing as all the reviews say and maybe just an off day, but based on this visit, I have to say avoid Jo’s for dinner, but if you do go, please avoid the cheesesteak and cheese fritters.

Always loved this diner but today was a real let down. First ordered root beer floats, NO ROOTBEER, no bigee, ordered Coke instead. Ordered LOADED FRIES (key word here is not LOADED)queso, chili, bacon, sour cream and green onions.
Regular sized plate of Krinkle fries with queso, MAYBE 1/2 slices of cooked bacon and MAYBE 1 green onion.
Ask about the chili, NO CHILI. ask about the sour cream—“can bring u a side” -brought 2 packs of Daisy sour cream. $15

Don’t think I will be back. I think it may have changed hands. Sad because it always had a great atmosphere.

Was in the area for work and needed a quick lunch so I stopped into Jo’s and wasn’t disappointed. I was sat, ordered, and received my food within 10-12 mins of walking in the door, and the food was fresh and very tasty. I had a hamburger steak blue plate special with turnip greens and black-eye peas and the greens were some of the best I’ve ever had. It came with a desert and the waitress recommended the peach cobbler and boy was she spot on. Service was friendly and fast. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area.

I came in the other day with my family since we are on this side of town for a doctors appointment. We walk in and instantly noticed one of the waitresses vaping. The hostess seated us, and who did we happen to get serve us? The same waitress vaping. I tried to ignore it. Well after spending 15 minutes talking to whoever wanted to listen to her about her child’s father, she finally brought us our drinks. We got our drinks and she left and didn’t show up for another 10 minutes. This time we are watching her pull at her pants, touch her face, and to be honest it looked like she might have been on drugs. We finally order our food, the whole time this women can’t complete a sentence. Again, the reason why we thought she was on something. She puts the order in ( or so we thought ) and comes back to take our order again. At this point I get up and ask the gentlemen working who she was. Emma, Amelia or possibly Emily maybe. The food is ready and she’s still continuing to talk and basically hover over the kitchen staff. She brings out our food after spending another 5 minutes talking and bad mouthing this time about what appeared to be another waitress. The order is completely wrong. No apologies from her. She actually started laughing like it was funny that we were sitting there waiting on our food. We finally get our food. It was okay, rather a bit salty. The pancakes were really good and me and my husband split those with our two kids. We finally ask for the check and she’s clearly waiting for her tip at this point. She stands there like it’s owed to her. We did tip but she only got 10% I will never bring my family to this atmosphere ever again. Please hire someone who’s not doped up on something and actually takes their job serious. I’ll stick with The Brandon location moving forward. The hygiene alone would have had this location written up. You are serving food. You should not be touching your face, pulling at your pants or touching your nose ring.

The food was horrible. My boyfriend’s burger was burnt to a crisp and not just a little bit. I ordered the country fried steak and it was hard as a brick. I’m not sure who you had cooking that night but they obviously did not care what they were serving. We complained to the little girl who took our order that we wanted a manager and she basically told us that no managers were there on Thursday nights. Our table was completely filthy when she sat us and when we complained about the food she never took it back to be remade. We never got an apology. She seemed to be more interested in getting off work as she told us so that she could go to the store before it closed (she was very unprofessional ) We usually come during the day and have Jordan or Bree wait on us. This was our first night time experience and will probably be our last. I don’t usually do reviews but felt the need to make one in hopes that you guys get your restaurant in shape. Maybe have a manager on duty for issues like this. If you were the longer hair girl waiting on us with the sandy colored hair in a claw clip, you need to do better honey. Maybe you can use some more training before they put you on the floor to wait tables.

Edit: after reading through other reviews I realized your name was Scarlett. Not sure what could have happened with your good service from them until now, but it’s not the same service as the review stated below.

Our Breakfast was amazing. This was my first time trying Jo’s & I am very pleased. Food was perfectly cooked. I got a breakfast platter and the hubby really enjoyed his chicken and waffles. The serving sizes are huge, I was so stuffed. Our waitress was really sweet and patient. You guys have gained a new customer. The decor is sooo retro & cute and gives 1950s.

We normally don’t have negative things to say about Jo’s diner, but today…we waited over 45 minutes for our food, and received ours after others were seated after us. I ordered Waffles with Bananas foster and never received it on my waffle. Both of our breakfast meals were lukewarm. Can’t say that we enjoyed our meals. May be a while before going back. I don’t know if they only had 1 cook today or what, but there seemed to be A LOT of people just waiting on their meals.
Our server was pleasant but oblivious as to what was going on with our meals. She had no idea our food wasn’t served as ordered.
Another server brought out a bowl with syrup and cut ip Bananas in it after I was finished eating. Not exactly how Bananas foster works.
Yeah….too many other restaurants to eat at where we can enjoy good service and a hot meal.
