I have been several times in the evening or on weekends morning. I normally get either an omelet or breakfast. The restaurant has been really clean when I have eaten there. I have had a very nice server and I have received what I asked for without any issues. This is not fast food so plan to relax and enjoy a good meal with rushing. s

We’re traveling and stopped here for brunch. I had the Southern Breakfast with crispy bacon and plain pancakes. The food is DELICIOUS and cooked to order. My partner had the hamburger steak with gravy and onions and a side of onion rings. The maple syrup is heated in a glass container. Do yourself a favor. Go. Enjoy the friendliness of the staff and the yummy food.

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday….my first visit to Jo’s dinner. What a pleasant surprise….it was fantastic! Strikingly bright, late ‘50’s ambiance, with delicious, home-cooked meals. Full Breakfast menu complete with great omelet selection and multiple grits, eggs, hash brown, and breakfast meat combinations. Homecooked breaded chopsteak with white gravy, eggs, biscuits and hash browns was my killer, much more than I could possibly eat, breakfast. There is one entirely separate menu dedicated exclusively to multiple hamburger combo’s offered for lunch. Small but yummy dinner menu, a full service bar, and a great selection of 50’s music playing in the background…including Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Frankie Avalon, etc., etc. Pictures of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, etc,.etc. everywhere. Bright, sparkly atmosphere and colorful tables with very attentive, kick-back young waitresses. Terrific food, great ambiance, reasonably priced, and very relaxing. Only open since February of 2025, this is a genuine Brandon “diamond in the rough”. I can’t wait to come back.

Stopped in at Jo’s Diner on a rare morning trip to Brandon and got my hands on a Southern Breakfast to try. They said “short stack” on the menu so I assumed I was going to have some silver dollars stacked up or two regular sized. Instead, I got all 3 and ended up way more full than I thought I’d be. The food was good and atmosphere chill despite them being so busy. My only disappointment was that they didn’t have a liquor license yet, according my good server Mylea, and I look forward to trying something off of it one day if I get the chance.
All in all it was a 4/5, enjoyable breakfast experience that I look forward to trying again one day soon.

First time eating at this location and I had high hopes. I ordered the French Toast and added a scrambled egg. I noticed immediately the eggs looked crusty, like they had set out for far too long. I touched the eggs and they were hard and cold. I then touched the French Toast, and again hard and cold. I hardly ever send food back, but there was no way I could eat what they served me. I asked the waitress if they could just reheat it, and she kindly did so. But when it came back, it was still mostly cold. I ate two pieces of bread and gave up, and there was no way I was touching those eggs. I won’t be back. I will say that the waitress was very kind and apologetic; I just don’t see how those eggs were ever served.

The young lady that took my order was very professional and polite. I ordered pancakes and sausage. I get home no sausage! Pancakes was enough for 2 people. The were pretty good. Just need some sausage to make the experience better. I guess I’ll have to start checking my order!

I came in with my family and instantly noticed one of the waitresses vaping. The hostess seated us, and who did we happen to get serve us? The same waitress vaping. I tried to ignore it. Well after spending 15 minutes talking to whoever wanted to listen to her about her child’s father, she finally brought us our drinks. We got our drinks and she left and didn’t show up for another 10 minutes. This time we are watching her pull at her pants, touch her face, and to he honest it looked like she might have been on drugs. We finally order our food, the whole time this women can’t complete a sentence. Again, the reason why we thought she was on something. She puts the order in ( or so we thought ) and comes back to take our order again. At this point I get up and ask the gentlemen working who she was. Emma or Emily maybe. The food is ready and she’s still continuing to talk and basically hover over the kitchen staff. She brings out our food after spending another 5 minutes talking and bad mouthing this time another waitress. The order is completely wrong. No apologies from her. She actually started laughing like it was a joke. We ask for the check and she’s clearly waiting for her tip at this point. I will never bring my family to this atmosphere ever again.

Excellent Food! Never had a bad visit, consistently delicious food. Staff is kind and welcoming. Jo’s Diner has a New Orleans kind of flare in my opinion and it’s an amazing place for breakfast and lunch! Thank you Jo’s Diner for bringing such a your culinary magic to Brandon!

Cool little 50’s style diner. It’s a meat and 3 option and daily special also. The daily comes with a dessert too. Monday is red beans and rice. That’s what I got. I liked it, but it does have onion that was not sautéed all the way and was topped with jalapeños so a heads up if that’s not your taste. I got the banana pudding for dessert and it was very tasty too. $14 plus a drink. Fair price for portion size in my opinion.

Just left restaurant. Will not be back.
Arrived at 12:30 pm Sunday. Service was slow. 3/4 empty restaurants. Coffee, lukewarm, ordered the breakfast with two eggs, cheese grits, biscuits and gravey.
Only received one egg, grits were so salty couldn’t eat them, biscuits crumbled apart, bacon not crispy. Undercooked.
We told waitress, she apologized for grits, said it was hit and miss on the saltiness of grits. Depends on who cooks them. Either to salty or no salt at all.
We had a party of 3 and visited restaurants due to friends recommending French toast.
We all agreed, the food, service, overall dining experience was pretty bad. Need some on site management desperately.
