Came is hungry for some shrimp and was wowed by the dish. I tried the steak tacos they were not fresh as the taste had yesterdays steak flavors not a fan. The fries were semi fresh cut but lacked flavor and excitement wish there was more to it! The place was clean friendly staff and all not sure if it’s meant to be a copy cat or not doesn’t matter it’s Jorge’s take on Harold’s try other dishes on for size maybe a hit could come to your pallete Bon appetite my friends!

On the rare occasions that they’re willing to make your food or take orders, the food can be decent.
The problem is, as so many others have reported, the customer service here is absolutely RUDE and horrendous!!
The hours of operation are unpredictable, the drive thru is unmanned/unused, and there’s still no phone to place orders! Seems like they just don’t want to be bothered with customers to do business with…so I won’t bother either.

Ordered the Large Catfish and Shrimp (8 shrimp & 4 fillets) to go. Upon opening the meal, discovered that I only had two fillets. Returned to the store and questioned the order and was told that the two fillets where not cut, therefore, the two large fillets cut in half equal 4 fillets. I was under the impression from the order menu that I would be receiving full fillets not half’s. The shrimp was good, just a little heavy handed on the lemon-pepper. Very upset at my $29.74 order, therefore I will not be returning to this place again.

When ordering at the location it would take more than 30 mins to get our order. Then we would not get the correct chicken. They would give 7 breast in a 24 piece bucket.
Tonight was our last straw. The store hours state they close at 9 p.m. When we went to the regular location, at 4:45 p.m., the older employee got an attitude saying, ‘they were about to close’. We then asked for a 24 piece bucket, and he began to huff and puff, and replied, “nah I don’t think I can do that. Let me see what I can do.” He goes to the kitchen, comes and tells us he only has “8 wings.”
We decided to leave. Not only did we feel disrespected, but as a business you should always want your customers to leave satisfied. If your hours say, open until 9 p.m., then those hours should be fulfilled.

First time ever eating there so that’s why 3☆ rating. I had the wings with mild sauce of course. I did like the taste but honestly could’ve been fried a bit longer. That’s basically it. And yes I’d go back. It wasn’t so bad. I don’t know if they do delivery. But if you wanna dine-in, it’s pretty big space for a family to eat in there. It’s more than enough room to space out. And I don’t know if masks are required, but everyone that came in there wore one any ways. Sorry no photos.

Today my husband and I walked into Harold’s and made a fairly large order. We ordered a catfish/wing combo, catfish dinner, a snack pack, 2 large fries and jumbo shrimp. After waiting about 10 minutes a group of women walk in and the cook/owner starts to bag what we think is our food. When the cashier sees this she hands us what was bagged to which the owner replies give that to my daughter (one of the women that walked in). There’s a moment of confusion for everyone and my husband grabs one of the bags of food to which the owner asked him to give it to his daughter. A few minutes later our food is bagged but one of our items is missing. When we bring this to the attention of the cashier she tries to help but the owner says he made the food. Apparently he gave it to his daughter who then hands us the bag. I asked for the cook to remake the food and he becomes angry talking about how he doesn’t like “people like that”. Instead of waiting for the food to be remade I asked for a refund. This dude pulls a whad of cash out of his pocket and hands me my refund with an attitude. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment and I hope no one else goes to experience this lackluster service and mediocre wings.

I have to say this is THE BEST Harold Chicken I’ve ever had. There have been several location in Chicago I’ve gone to but none has prepared perfectly cooked chicken like chef at the North Chicago location. The chicken isn’t over cooked, the wings were plump and juicy. I had a Two Breasts dinner and the chicken was huge ( I could only finish 1) and was literally cooked to perfection. Golden, crispy, fully cooked, and juicy! I give the highest recommendation to this location. This is the ONLY Harold’s Chicken restaurant for me. Gone are the days of skinny wings.

Place has no structure manager is nasty and rude. Any problem is the customer’s fault and staff mirrors that attitude. You try and support black business but it’s hard sometimes . Waited over 35 minutes for food request a refund food was sitting on counter and some kinda way it was my fault I was never called. Basically manager said here’s a refund now leave. I have been going to Harold’s since the fist one opened in Chicago south side but this was the worst . Will never return.

Horrible Service. I asked for the business hours and the lady stated from 11am-7pm, Ma’am it’s 545. She follwed up to state they were cooking the last few orders and then they needed to clean up. It was 530 and they turned SEVERAL people away! The lady is rude. She was shooing people away with her hands, adults and children. It was so disrespectful. I haven’t gotten my food yet but the customer service here is horrible. One female is wearing a hair net, the cooks are NOT.

Got a 6 piece chicken wing which comes with fries. I get extra lemon pepper. Chicken is usually seasoned well. The shrimp are strongly seasoned but not to the point that I can’t eat them. Glad to see a Harold’s in this area.
