Pre valentines trip into the city we booked a table at Jorge’s. Warm and friendly welcome on a chilly afternoon. Great menu with so much tasty choices. Went for the stakes, hard not to. Shared a side of heritage carrots cooked to perfection. Delighted to see crème brûlée on the menu. Sitting near the door got frosty blast when people came and went but didn’t put a dampener on the meal.

This is in my top 3 places to eat in Norwich. The food is delicious, full of flavour and beautifully cooked each time. The service is great, the staff are always genuine, friendly and take great care throughout the service experience. It’s small and intimate, making the experience feel more personal. Worth every penny for everything I’ve stated above, you really can’t go wrong. My favourite dish is their sirloin wagyu steak, and all of their wine is some of the best I’ve ever had, I would come here everyday if I could afford it. A truly underrated gem of a place!

It is extremely rare that I write a review without photos of the food we order, but visiting Jorge’s in Norwich is an exception, simply because we were just so relaxed and enjoying the experience and the ambience that I completely forgot to take photos of the courses we enjoyed. Being a tapas restaurant, you could end up with 4 or 5 or even 6 courses, the food was that good! I did manage a couple of snaps of dessert and the building and signs as we left. It’s small but cosy and a comfortable space. The staff are the best and very welcoming. Excellent dining experience. Highly recommend.

Wow! We had been recommended this restaurant by some local foodies so we had high expectations, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, perfect ambiance with jazz music that wasn’t too loud, beautiful plates, and obviously the amazing food. The octopus carpaccio came in a tasty ponzu dressing that we had to resist drinking, and the Cataplana was so delicious, we mopped up all the sauce the bread. Exciting wine selection too.

We’ve been fortunate to have gone to some great restaurants (including Michelins around the world) but this is definitely one of our favourites now. Can’t wait to go back!

A special place to visit and eat and this is just my second time. First with my daughter,
tonight with my son. We chose tapas although there are so many other ways to approach the menu with its many options. Welcome and service is excellent throughout ; meet and greet, guidance through the meal to a sincere farewell. I feel we are very lucky to have this fine dining venue in our fine city.

This restaurant serves truly delicious Portuguese food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bread with olive oil and olives is soft, fragrant, and a perfect start. The fried squid is fresh and full of flavour, while the Portuguese beer pairs wonderfully. A great spot to enjoy authentic tastes!

Food is well presented, tasty, sauces and condiments are tasty too, here you can find traditional Portuguese classic tapas such as octopus, clams, olives and sardines. I cannot give a full score because the prawns were frozen, this dish is £13 and for that price in Norwich it’s gonna have to be fresh from the market. In addition, tapas size can be bigger. One of the mains was rice with tiger prawns served in a nice clay pot, the rice was absolutely delicious, crunchy and the sauce very nice too, again the prawns quality is the main issue (£76). I disagree with some reviews about prices, food is good however fresh ingredients should be a must, if that can be implemented then the average spend per person can be justified too, a good restaurant but food quality is a tad short.

If you like tapas, you are in for a treat. Wonderfully relaxed service.
A fantastic menu to choose from. We ordered about 7 items and I will definitely be going back to try the rest. Every single dish was a delight.

Nice little restaurant tucked away down a side street in Norwich. Service was polite and knowledgeable about the specials on offer. Food was tasty and well presented. Meals tended to be served on smaller plates, making the meal seem larger. Cost wise is where it loses a star. The share platter, tasty though it was, is very expensive – good size for one definitely but for two would likely need a side, which is extra (as it was designed for two to share, some items only had one). With lots of sauce in the dishes, a complimentary piece of bread to mop up the lovely flavours would of gone down well (bread was provided at the beginning as a pre-starter – that could of been brought out with the main maybe). Nice meal and experience but cost would make this a maybe to visit again.
