Super cheap lunch in a cool retro place.
Unfortunately I didn’t really care for the hotdogs or the onion rings.

The hotdogs had a very bland flavor and no snap to the casing.

The chili wasn’t my favorite ether unfortunately.

The onion rings tasted pretty stale.

But for 11 dollars you get a filling meal with nice servers.

Update: Good day today. Early lunch with a brightleaf hotdog all the way and a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and onion and pickles. All cooked to order. My family got a beef hotdog with slaw and CHILI CHEESE FRIES with lots of chili and cheese. Previous: Great as always. Great value for price. Definitely a local recommendation and locally-owned. Southern hospitality. Huge pancakes. Wonderful service. The hashbrowns with grilled onions was excellent. Breakfast or lunch you can’t go wrong.

We’re regulars here & recognize Jones’ for exactly what it is; a classic, family owned local staple with delicious southern fare & unbeatable service to match. It’s such a blessing & a joy to share with my daughter the same favorite breakfast & lunch spot that I have enjoyed since I was a kid. Now, she loves to wake us up on Saturday morning & ask if we can go see Miss Monica & Miss Crystal for breakfast. Best pancakes in town & we’ll be back for more, I’m sure!

I have lived in Clayton for over 13 years and I have never been in Jones Cafe. I learned a lot today. The restaurant is bigger than I thought. You can park in the back(didn’t know that). The food is good. The prices are fantastic and service is outstanding! Jones Cafe is Precious Clayton landmark. Pleasantly impressed!

It’s always pretty good, my only issue is that it’s not at all wheelchair friendly,we had no choice in that happening but we just want to be treated equally and make measures to help aid us while visiting the store we grew up in from the beginning. I love them always.

Super friendly and cozy diner with tasty food and great prices! We loved the atmosphere and the food was great.

My husband had the smoked sausage dog and I had the double cheeseburger deluxe. We both shared a large chili cheese fries. Everything was fantastic and service was friendly. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll be back!

Loved the little dive spot. Service was great and the food came out fast. Tried a little bit of everything, but we will need to go back and experience breakfast.
