Service was excellent! Salad bar was really good. I loved my Salmon Oscar and the cheesecake was amazing My husband had a delicious filet mignon. Prices were high but overall the food and service were impressive. We’d definitely go back for special occasions.

It is a bit dark but I loved the lighting. We tried several things listed in the reviews and the food was amazing. Steak Oscar was melt in your mouth delicious. We got the Wisconsin cheese curds… they of course did not disappoint. The duck bacon wontons were a bit spicy but delicious! The salad bar was beautiful and had everything you’d want and then some. Fresh blocks of cheese. The Asiago was my favorite. Overall, a must try when you’re in the area.

We had fantastic meals and drinks accompanied by excellent service at Jones’ Black Angus! The atmosphere is a very classic dark supper club style. We arrived at opening time, and we were greeted by the bartender who was very pleasant and welcoming. We had drinks at the bar along with a bluegill appetizer. Both the drinks (I enjoyed an Old Fashioned!) and the appetizer were wonderful. The salad bar had a nice selection of items, and we really enjoyed the beer cheese soup! I ordered the ribeye special, and my wife had surf and turf composed of the filet and scallops. Our meals were prepared spot on. We shouldn’t have, but we did share a piece of cheesecake for dessert. Everything was terrific from food to service! If you’re a bourbon fan, they do have some rare offerings for sale by the bottle. Stop in at Jones’ Black Angus for a great classic supper club experience!

Classic old supper club. Dimmer lit and quiet. Very busy place. Steak was was over done and tough for my liking. I am a medium rare person. Wife’s shrimp was huge and well worth the price. She liked it. Good salad bar. Service was very fast and friendly.

My wife and I went here to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. The food was delicious and multiple people on staff congratulated us. I’m not a big steak person but it was the best steak I’ve ever had and we will be back again. Highly recommend!

Great food, terrible service. On an crowded early Saturday evening, we were handed menus and seated next to where the wait staff hangs out between orders/serving. We were ignored for 5 minutes at least while 3 servers stood chatting. Finally, a server tending other tables stopped to ask if we’d been helped. Once we finally got service, everything was rushed. Only a few minutes after we started eating our salads, our dinner was served. Then, staff kept coming to our table asking if we were done with our plates, while we were clearly still eating. The dessert tray was offered just as we’d begun eating our entrees. Talk about feeling like they wanted to get rid of us ASAP to get to the next customer. Another restaurant will get our business the next time we’re in Prairie du Chien.

Everything was amazing! If you’re in town, make sure to stop here. You won’t be disappointed! If you love surf n turf, they have a variety of options. Great salad bar also. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area next time!

Excellent food. Husband had the filet with lobster and salad bar which offered shrimp and herring. I had the prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes and the Caesar salad. All excellent. Ordered the prime rib rare, came out medium. Asked server if there was a more rare serving. She grabbed my plate, brought out a more rare piece and said “this is as rare as it gets.” Didn’t like her tone. Hurt her tip.
