A true hole-in-the-wall treasure. Now I want to be clear my wife and I spent well over 100 dollars for lunch but we intentionally ordered 4 meats, 5 sides, a dessert, a Cheerwine kolache and a quart of the Brunswick Stew (to go). The line took an hour to get through but it was a sunny warm day in February, so not a big deal to us.
Even though it is billed as a Texas style BBQ I found the meat to have a half in smoke ring but not overly smoky. The bacon burnt ends are a must, as well as the Smoked turkey breast. Was almost a 2 hour ride each way for us to get there but well worth the trip. Hours are only Saturday, starting at 0930 they serve a breakfast then move onto lunch until sold out, usually before 1800.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/5 Stars)
Jon G’s BBQ is absolutely next level. The food is outstanding—every bite is packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Yes, the wait can be close to two hours, but let me be clear: it is 100% worth it. Worth the time, worth the money, and worth the hype.
If you’re serious about great BBQ, this place is a must. I highly recommend Jon G’s BBQ—you won’t be disappointed. On a five-star scale, I give it a 10.

This. Place. Changed the course of my life of barbecue. You will not find better execution of perfection in my honest opinion. Jong and team are what dreams are made of, where family, friends and food are genuinely the common goal for family owned trying to make a livin! PraiseGs!

Genuinely the best brisket I’ve ever had. The meat was so tender and delicious. The fat was rendered perfectly and melts in your mouth. Service and staff are incredible as well. Love this spot!

All I can say is go early. We got there about 10:20 and we at the back of the line for about 10 minutes. I would guess there were 150 people ahead of us. It took a little over 3 hours to get in the door, but it did not disappoint. The staff here is hands down the best I have ever seen. I wish I had asked their names because they need props. And the owner is one of those guys you want to have a beer with. He came out and walked the line and spent time talking with different people. You can tell the staff love their job. They sold out of a few items, but that means I need to go back. Some highlights Mac and cheese, brisket, tacos, and oreo pudding. And can’t forget free beer. It’s truly an experience. And bring a camping chair.

Bring your patience, maybe some chairs (and a blanket if it’s cold), your appetite, and some
money! The people waiting in line around you are all nice. We played games and talked, had some breakfast when they opened with kolaches and brisket breakfast tacos. We would consider going back just to eat breakfast!! We got 3 meats and 4 sides. Our favorites were brisket (of course) for the meats, brisket fried rice (for the side) and the cowboy candy is insane!!!!

For it to be some many there maybe 200 people for the experience the food was not good. The best was the beef ribs but not worth $52 barbecue was mushy no flavor at all and brisket rice was good but brisket wasn’t had weird after taste. Waited over 4hrs not worth it. Over priced no flavor they should give samples to first timers so we can decide if its worth the wait…which wasn’t for me

Waited over 4 hrs to check this out. Definately worthy of the Texas name. Every meat was cooked to perfection. Well seasoned and moist. The cheerwine hot links could have used a little more seasoning, but the pork belly, burnt ends and brisket were all melt in your mouth and they pulled off juicy pulled pork and turkey.

Candied jalapeno grits were outstanding along with the brown sugar smoked beans. Slaw was exceptional. While the brisket fried rice was suppose to be signature, was my personal least favorite.

BONUS: Free beer and very clean restrooms

Best BBQ I’ve had in my life. Definitely want to get there early. Bring some chairs and company. At opening time the line is wrapped around the building. People are nice and very laid back. Loved it. Beef ribs, brisket fried rice and nanner pudding were my faves.

Look…I hate to give this place away, but it’s too darn good to keep it a secret. It was my first time so I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I ended up spending $222 for 2.
1. Expect a line and limited seating. Follow the rules, order before seating. In winter dress warm, it’s cold under the covered breezeway. People were in line before you so they should have seats before you too. Crazy how people don’t follow simple instructions when they had an opportunity to read the rules for 25+- minutes, waiting in line.

2. Food was 10/10. The breakdown:
1st Place: Smoked Turkey. Moist, flavorful, Tender.
2nd Place: Beef Rib. Fatty, Buttery, Smokey, Barky, Flavorful.
3rd: Brisket: Ditto to Beef Rib, just less bark
4th: Pulled Pork was good, not as tender throughout as the other cuts, no bark or crust in what we had
5th: Cheese Sausage, snappy, seasoned, creamy
6th: Bacon Burnt Ends li’ tough for my liking, gave a jerky feel
7th: Cheerwine sausage: No taste of Cheerwine

The disappointment: As a first timer I didn’t realize I could order less than 1/2 lb. I made adjustments as I realized it.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT: I asked for a beef rib. The sign says they are 1lb to 1 and1/2 lb. They sliced a 2.26 lb rib. BE MINDFUL. If it’s huge, ask for a smaller one. They aren’t cheap.

The service was good, be nice to the lady that cleans the table and everyone else on staff.
