We ordered the small bossam and the Hae Jang Guk, a flavorful and spicy pork bone soup. It arrived steaming hot with large bones still packed with tender meat. The broth was rich, full-bodied, and perfectly seasoned. Our server even suggested we pull the bones apart to find the hidden meat pockets and bits of cartilage — and she was absolutely right. She also brought gloves so we could do it comfortably, which was a great touch.
There were about eight side dishes, and while not all of them were my favorite, the potatoes and radishes really stood out — the potatoes were tender and perfectly textured, and the radishes were crisp and refreshing.
The bossam was also excellent. The seasoning was balanced — just enough cinnamon to complement the pork without overpowering it. Paired with ssamjang, perilla leaves, and lettuce wraps, it made for a perfect bite every time.
The ambiance was warm and inviting with comfortable lighting — bright enough to see clearly but never harsh. The temperature inside was perfect, and the call buttons at each table made it easy to get refills or the staff’s attention without interrupting conversation.
Food: 4.5/5 – Flavorful, hearty, and authentic
Service: 4.5/5 – Friendly, attentive, and thoughtful
Ambiance: 4.5/5 – Cozy, well-lit, and comfortable
For the 3 of us, we tried Ox bone soup, Galbi, seafood pancake (pajun), hot stone bi bim bap. Everything was excellent. We will definitely come back, and we have to try their specialties hot pot.
The service was friendly and caring which many excellent Korean restaurants lacks. The lady took time to introduce the appetizer dishes which was helpful and almost nobody else do.
Used the Yelp app to make reservations but the place was not packed at all and we were seated within a few minutes.
We got two hot pots :
Gamjatang has a rich pork bone broth with pork neck bones, enoki mushrooms and sliced potatoes, perilla leaf with mild chili spice. Meat is very tender, enough to separate the neck bones and pick out the meat.
Seolleongtang is ox knee bone broth with sliced tendons, beef tongue and sliced beef. The broth is milky from the bone and cartilage but has no dairy in it.
Tables are provided with a special sauce for the beef broth:it tastes of garlic, vinegar and soy sauce.
Quiet and clean space. I think there used to be a Thai restaurant in this same spot.
This is a franchise restaurant but the quality of the food was better than expected.
We got the chive pancake which was okay on it own , even better with the dipping sauce.
Assortment of banchan or side dishes: kimchi, chili covered potato wedges, radish and fish cakes. All with refills.
White rice served individually in bowls.
You can request extra broth for either hot pot. And fried rice at the end if you let them know.
We were so full from these already and did not need the fried rice.
There were at least five other tables almost all families and service was attentive to us all.
Requested both hot barley tea (in metal teapots) and ice water (in pitchers).
The servers carry pretty large pots of hot food so watch yourself and your little ones.
The side dishes were incredible, especially the braised potatoes, stir-fried fish cake, and kkakdugi. The Gamjatang was hearty and packed with tender meat, while the Bossam was soft, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the kimchi.
The restaurant was spotless, and the staff were super friendly. As a Korean, I loved every bite and highly recommend it for authentic flavors!
