As a thriller and romance author, I always notice places with character and atmosphere, and Jollymore’s is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the LC Valley.

The restaurant has a distinctive French-inspired style with elegant décor and a comfortable upscale atmosphere. There’s a lively bar area that’s always popular, along with two separate dining rooms that give the space a relaxed but refined feel. They also have a covered patio with a water feature for dining in the warmer months.

The menu is excellent and consistently well prepared. I often order the pork belly and ahi from the appetizer menu, which are always outstanding. They also do a great job with desserts. Instead of just listing them, the staff brings a dessert tray to the table so you can see exactly what’s available before choosing.

Jollymore’s also has an impressive selection of port and wines, which adds another level to the experience. The wine list is thoughtfully curated and pairs well with the menu.

One of the things that makes the restaurant special is the themed events they host. About once a month they offer special wine-paired dinners, and once a year they recreate the famous Titanic dinner menu with a full multi-course experience, which is pretty incredible.

The owner, Bill, has created a place where people genuinely enjoy gathering. It’s a favorite spot for business dinners, celebrations, and nights out in the LC Valley. They also offer a lunch menu with burgers and other options that are surprisingly reasonable for a restaurant of this quality.

As a thriller and romance author, it’s also the kind of setting where I can easily imagine two characters meeting quietly at the bar or sitting in one of the dining rooms planning their next move before the story takes a dramatic turn.

What a find! We pass through Lewiston while hauling frequently and just happened to need a good lunch. Jollymores is a gem. Great salads! Clam chowder was good. Had to try dessert since the food was so good. Orange sponge cake with pistachio icecream sounded a bit odd but it was fantastic. Our server, Liz, was perfectly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. It will be our go to when in Lewiston.

What a delightful evening. We arrived casually dressed and were welcomed into this lovely restaurant. The meals were outstanding. Our waitress, April, recommended wines that paired well with our meals. The smoked salmon over roasted sprouts was delicious! Compliments to chef Aaron. The owner, Bill, was gracious and we told him we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

We had an amazing server Selena! Very informative of the menu. Sweet personality and kept checking on us. We were celebrating our 34th year together. I had the Cod loins and my husband had the ribeye both cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere and new items to menu. We for sure will be back!!

Yesterday I enjoyed the roasted Brussels sprouts and smoked salmon salad! So delicious. I would encourage you to get dressing on the side or ask for 1/2 as it was VERY maple syrupy. Nonetheless I will go back and have it again. Mind you I don’t typically eat Brussels sprouts, but had been encouraged to have this salad by a friend. She was so right!!

Lovely lunch, service was spot on and the food was excellent. They also have very reasonable budget conscious options for a nice sit down restaurant. They have a nice outdoor seating area suitable for guests with dogs and they have misters set up for those super hot days. Try to save room for desert. Had baked brie, Brussel sprouts salad, and more. I recommend!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Jollymore’s has a lovely atmosphere, wonderful wine selection, and very tasty food. The brie appetizer was incredible and my steak was cooked beautifully. We were able to enjoy a long, relaxing dinner without feeling rushed or like we were a nuisance. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.

My husband and I went there for Valentine’s day 2.14.26 and we both have been sick since which is odd because we ordered two very different things. I am very disappointed I really enjoyed the service, waitress was super nice and it was a very nice atmosphere but this was my first time there and I will not be going back.

Wanted to try this place.
Made a reservation at 8 pm on 11/7. They called and asked us to get there earlier because the kitchen closes at 9 pm. Thought was strange since we made a reservation at 8. I asked “do you just kick us out at 9?”. She said “no but we start cleaning up at 9”. I don’t think I could have felt more unwelcome. I tried to be understanding so told her we would do our best to be there by 7:45.
The plans we had prior were running late (I’d let her know earlier we had plans and that’s why we made the reservation at 8) so I called the restaurant to let them know we’d be closer to 8 and I was worried after my earlier conversation. The hostess was very rude. It was a different person than who I talked to earlier. She again reiterated we can come but that they close at 9. I said “we’re getting there at 8 so I don’t understand why it matters the kitchen closes at 9?”. She had zip to say. I said “you don’t seem like you’re interested in our business” and I hung up.
I sure hope the owner sees this review. Seems like management is training the staff to turn away business. I’ve never had an experience like this before. Super rude, unwelcoming and it truly gives the impression you don’t want my money. I will gladly spend it elsewhere.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Jollymore’s! The server provided excellent attention, enhancing our dining pleasure. The steak and shrimp were delectable, with the bite-sized steak perfectly complemented by flavorful salads. Generous portions meant plenty to take home, making it an all-around fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!
