Thank you so much for the most amazing experience tonight. My husband wouldn’t stop talking about how much he enjoyed every bit of it. The two hours drive was definitely worth it.
This is the most tasty and authentic Nigerian food I have ever had in this country. I had the ewa agonyin and my husband had white rice + ayamase and beef stew. We ordered two bowls of okro, and moinmoin to go. It made me feel like I was eating the Moloney Lagos Island ewa agonyin and the okro…… super fresh and tasty. The zobo, meat pie and puffpuff are really nice and tasty as well. My husband approved of every single thing we ate and ordered.
Thank you so much for an awesome meal, the conversations, prayers and history (she explained the map on the wall to my Caucasian husband) and he really loved it.
I appreciate you Ms. Abby.❤️ You have a beautiful heart.

What a great first experience here. I am not familiar with Nigerian food, but no problem, they give 1st timers samples so you get what you like the first time. The food was fantastic. I got the jollaf rice and goat stew and my boyfriend got the fried rice and beef. It was so good I forgot to take a picture before we dug in. The prices are good too. They give you options for different portion sizes, which is perfect for different appetites or if you couldn’t decide between you can mix n match. I also loved that the owner /cook came out to greet us personally and explained how she loves people from any culture to come in and enjoy the food. You can tell she believes this by the welcoming environment and helping 1st timers pick something they like. I would strongly recommend giving them a try. I will certainly come back.

The food was on point as the name of the restaurant show indicates. They give you every food they have to taste your first time visiting their restaurant. They are really authentic and original Nigeria taste, especially their original Nigeria Smokey jolof rice, their red stew (tomatoes stew). Their service is was excellent and friendly.

Have ever been to a restaurant, an African restaurant where you eat fufu with your hand and you nearly chew on your fingers? Yes, you read it right. Jollof On Point at the main entrance of the beautifully preserved city of Frederick is a restaurant like no other before. And if I’m telling you you better believe me. I grew up in the countryside of Ivory Coast and my mom was a great cook. So I know when a cook take pride in their art. At Jollof on Point, forget about the tasty food. The atmosphere, so welcoming. The reception is inviting and friendly. The young and sweet lady who serves food is so soft spoken and she even let let taste the dishes before you place your order. That’s how confident they are in their cooking. I go there at least twice a week. And I enjoy every bit of the bite. My favorite is egusi and the goat soup. Lord!
So if you wanna eat real authentic Nigerian cuisine come to Frederick and google Jollof on Point. It’s worth the drive from Dc. You will thank me later.

I’m not overly adventurous when it comes to cuisine, but I’d always been curious about this place whenever I was in this shopping center. I finally decided to give it a try this afternoon and I’m so glad that I did! They asked if it was my first time and when I said yes they gave me a taste of a number of different foods (all delicious). I got the jollof rice, a spicy spinach side, and scoops of beef and goat stews and it was all so good! The owner/chef then came out and gave me a hug and a complimentary pastry dessert made fresh (I’m not special lol, everyone who walked in was greeted like family). It was just a delightful experience, and I love that in our little corner of Maryland we have the opportunity to share with so many different cultures.

We threw a Nigerian wedding and catered with Jollof on Point! Our Nigerian food was lovingly catered by Miss Abby, and she was attentive and sweet throughout the entire experience! She ensured that we had a cleanup crew, she served the bride and room and bridal party specifically during the event, and the food itself was delicious. I and my husband were really pleased and honored to work with her, and she was a blessing to have in our lives and have in our celebration.

We came to Jollof on Point for the food, but what we received was SO much more. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not just as guests, but as family. Abby, the owner and chef, sat with us like an old friend, sharing stories, laughter, and so much heart. Her presence alone is a gift, and you can feel that same love poured into every dish she prepares.
The food is rich, soulful, and deeply nourishing. Their scoop-style approach lets you sample different dishes, and the team invites you to taste before you choose which is something that felt incredibly generous and kind. Every bite tells a story.
It’s hard to put into words just how moved we were by this experience. The flavors were incredible, but it was the warmth, humility, and spirit of the people that stayed with us long after the meal.
This place is more than a restaurant, it’s a reflection of culture, connection, and community. We’re so grateful for the time spent here and can’t wait to return! ✨️

We’ve been coming to Jollof On Point for over a year now and are ALWAYS satisfied. From the very beginning, Abby and her team have made dining here a truly special experience.
First, they offer samples of different dishes so you can be sure you’ll love what you order—a thoughtful touch that shows how much they care about customer satisfaction. Second, the staff are always courteous, professional, and welcoming. And most importantly, the food is consistently delicious. We’ve tried many different dishes over the past year and loved every single one.
We happily travel nearly an hour just to eat here, and it’s always worth the trip. On top of the wonderful food, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the generous portions and high quality you receive. If you enjoy supporting small business owners who source their ingredients locally, this is absolutely the place for you.
And as if all of that weren’t enough, the heart of this restaurant is Abby herself. She doesn’t just cook amazing food—she pours love into the community. When Abby is in the restaurant, she treats every guest like family and takes the time to genuinely connect with people. That personal warmth is a rare gift that makes this restaurant stand out even more.
If you’re thinking about coming, don’t hesitate. Come once and you’ll be so glad you did—it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
