We had Egusi soup which has very tender lamb and smoky, complex flavor of a long-simmered stew. We also tried the plantain, which was hands down the best plaintain I’ve ever had. The owner was so friendly, the customer service was amazing! We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

10/10 best place in Seattle for western African dishes, ESPECIALLY the BENACHIN (jollof rice) ohhh myyy gosh the vegetables were cooked to perfection and that lamb was so tender. It fell right off the bone with the seasoning is perfect.I also odered SUPER KANJA (okra soup) & EGUSI soup was to die for!!! Not exaggerating at all!! I tried both wonjo & baobab juice aswell and it was sooooo deliciousssssss!!!!!! I cannot recommend this place enough!! The food tastes good, but the portion sizes are inconsistent. My jollof rice came with a large serving of rice and a very small piece of fish. For the price, I expected better portion balance.

Let me tell you something!!! That lady in there cooking that food up by herself and she doing her thang!! It’s great pricing great service great quality of food! Her meats were so tender! Her plasas has REAL cassava leaf it was the right consistency of okra in the okra soup the meat pies were I’ve gone from lynnwood to Tacoma and she wins HANDS DOWN !! We had a delicious dinner at Jollof Hub! The Lamb Afra had a wonderful spice blend and the onions were soo good. The owner is really nice also! We will certainly be back and look forward to trying out different dishes on the menu.

So sorry but this was one of the worst meals of my life. Very expensive and inedible food. Lots of bones, skin, eyeballs in the fish soup. The flavor was good but the meat in the rice dish was so tough and full of fat and gristle it was impossible to eat. The dough balls to dip in the broth were served wrapped tightly in molten hot plastic Saran Wrap which was very off-putting. I hate leaving a poor review for a small family-run restaurant but maybe this feedback will help improve the place.

Flavorful plates full of delicious spices that’ll make your week! We enjoyed trying new dishes, specifically the lamb afra and the meat pies. The owner is great, very friendly. We’ll be coming back soon.

I got peanut butter stew with just vegetables and fish pie! Both had so much flavor. It’s a family run restaurant with food made from love. Parking lot is in the back and lots of room to sit down and eat or you can take it to go. If you are pescatarian there are a few different options.

Family restaurant with super delicious food. We are looking for African Fufu to eat in Seattle area and here is the place to go! Be aware that food here is very authentic flavor, so you may want to adjust the spice level before you place the order!

This restaurant is a true hidden gem! I ordered the egusi soup and my boyfriend had the lamb domoda, it was so tender it literally fell clean off the bone. We also shared meat pies and plantains, and both were amazing: the pies were flaky and savory, and the plantains perfectly caramelized. What really shines here is how thoughtful and authentic the cooking feels. You can taste the care in every bite. Comforting, and absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to come again! Thank you!!!
