My first time trying this place, and it was quite good! Finally after hearing so many of my friends talking about it. Keep note that it is fast food. I didn’t know that this place opened, I guess it has been a while since I visited this plaza. There is a good amount of parking.
The fried chicken was definitely crispy and I liked the spice on the spicy wings. We ordered the bucket which was about $26 for 12 pieces of chicken. It came with a gravy dip which was pretty good. Their water cup was super small.
The service was quite fast, it seems that you can also order yourself. Note that the place was super cold, make sure to bring a jacket. If I get a chance would like to try other things on the menu.

Yuppppp. This is better than Chick-fil-a, Canes, KFC, u name it. The chicken was CRISP with a capital C. So just so juicy! The food was piping hot!!! Spaghetti was heartwarming and delish too! Peach mango pie was a bit overrated imo (it’s just a pie, anyway) but still unique and yum! Least favorite were the mashed potatoes—bland and no flavor without the gravy..? KFC mashed potatoes are better.

How many mascot faces can you take in one photo? I did a contest with my daughter at Jollibee. Every time I drove on I-10 from west to east to IKEA, I saw a squirrel at the top of the building next to IKEA. Eventually I realized that it was not a squirrel but a bee, Jollibee, which I knew from two decades ago in Manila, Philippines.
The building has the mascot and logo of the American headquarters of Jollibee. Across the road, there is a Jollibee restaurant. I consider it the flagship store. My daughter was the one who told me that Jollibee is a better fried chicken option. Later on, I tried one at the Alhambra location and proved she was right.
We went to the flagship store after visiting IKEA and ordered a New Bucket Treat A. It included 6 pieces of Spicy Chickenjoy, mashed potato, crispy fries, and a large Chickenjoy gravy. Let’s talk about it.

When I first ordered fried chicken at the Alhambra restaurant, I requested no chicken breast. The server told me they only serve thighs and legs. Trust me, do not order the regular one. The spicy version is much better.

At the very beginning, the texture of the mashed potato made me feel weird. It was not smooth but had a chewy texture. I looked carefully and noticed some purple potato skin. Later, I even found a small piece of raw potato. Interesting. Eventually, I learned from the internet that Jollibee is famous for its mashed potato with special texture, unlike the industrial mashed potato powder. Great. I love it.
Chickenjoy Gravy

Instead of just pouring gravy onto the mashed potato, Jollibee gives you a full cup of gravy. I love gravy. It reminded me of Jim Gaffigan’s comedy, he mentioned a senior man drinking gravy. Funny. I like to dip the fried chicken in the gravy. I also like to mix the gravy with mashed potato and dip the chicken in that.

Around the early 90s, I went to McDonald’s in Shanghai. I was shocked by the apple pie. How could a spring roll shaped pie provide so much happiness? But after decades, I’ve grown tired of such fast food pies. The peach mango pie from Jollibee is average. Acceptable.
On the wall, they mentioned that Jollibee has 1,300 restaurants worldwide. Then I found out it was outdated. According to Wikipedia, it had more than 1,600 restaurants worldwide at the beginning of 2024.

during the Christmas night, i ordered Bucket Treat B on the web and set pick up time 5pm, I done this at 10:17am and got the confirmation. while i was driving head to the store, they sent me email @4:52 anf said there was the order of the system and did not sent to the restaurant, payment got refund but i can pay there to get my order. The price i got from the morning was 34.99 and i got deal spend 10 get 5off. while i was in the restaurant ordered same thing they charged me 42.99 theres $8 more with no cluded. I emailed all this experience to the Jollibee customer service but no reply, i will dispute this transaction.
The cashier at drive thu is so rude, he said its not my fault that your order got problem, I told him its not my fault too, I placed order ahead and paid and you guys canceled my order 8 mins before pick up due to system problem and i have to pay extra 13 bucks in order to get my order?

Had this the first time in 2019 when I visited the Philippines.. this is my first time trying one here in the US, what better location to try then the one right across the street from their headquarters. We got the half spicy half reg fried chicken bucket with mashed potatoes and 2 pies. The chicken was very crispy, juicy and flavorful.. the spicy had just amount of balanced spice, mashed potatoes ok and the pies were yummy!! This was hubbys first time ever and he was happy!

Everything about my experience was amazing. The strawberry freeze was incredibly refreshing, perfectly blended, and full of real strawberry flavor. You could really tell that Gen did an outstanding job and put genuine care and love into making my drink. The quality and overall experience were top-tier. Had the opportunity to try this and since we had visitors wanted to try it as well. We ordered the 12 piece meal deal with 5 sides and 5 peach and mangon pies. The sides were spaghetti, fries, biscuits and Mac n cheese. No additional charge for premium sides. The fried chicken was moist and crispy. Original or spicy and the spicy has a little kick. The order came automatically with gravy which had a bit of a artificial taste instead of homemade gravy. The max n cheese was really good. The spaghetti was a bit sweet. Order at the counter and they will buzz you when the order is ready. Inside and outside seating available. Nice area to dine in or outside.
