Went and visited Jolees BBQ upon recommendation of a coworker, and I was pleased with my order. I ordered 2 large tips and the 1/2 lb. Brisket and I don’t have any complaints. The meat was tender and flavorful. I ordered my food without the sauce but opted to have it on the side. There were no charred pieces thank God! The location is SMALL with a walk-up window type of feel. You can maybe fit 3 people max in the lobby, but from order to pick up time, it was 15 minutes. Jolees is everything woo woos isn’t. Quick service and good food! Keep it up, Jolees. I’ll be back! Although they didn’t have the jerk tips, I wanted Lol!
FYI… The location is in a sketchy area, but there is a heavy presence. The parking lot can maybe fit 5 vehicles max, and I’d recommend going before it gets dark if you’re uncomfortable in visiting an undesirable area. #fordheights

Absolutely delish! Shhhh don’t tell anyone, as I am a lady, but I licked my fingers. A definite must have and served with friendly service! The portion to price-money well spent! The last visit the tips tasted like they were boiled or something, it wasn’t that smoked/off the grill flavor it usually has that’s the only reason for 4 stars. My children love the sauce! There’s a bit of sweetness to it that is nearly addictive lol. Great customer service, friendly staff, good food!

My first time trying their barbecue today, and it was excellent! Rib tips were moist, perfectly seasoned and smoked. And the links were perfect! Not unbearably hot, but just the right amount of spice. Will be back soon!

My experience was not pleasant. Previous experiences was good. Is there new ownership? My order was terrible. There’s a huge difference between my order and my sister order. Bring the food back- for what?! It’s not nice and this is why we can’t always support our own. The manager was very nonchalant. And I want to know where the pastor is bc his food was good and attitude extremely customer service. The sauce is different. Well it was good while it lasted. Smh ♀️

I’ve driven by this place many times and never really noticed it. I had a taste for bbq and saw it come up. I’ll start with it’s carry out only. Small vestibule area that they take your order in. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely nice and pleasant to talk to. I could tell he was appreciative that I was there. Some nice southern hospitality! The food was excellent!!!! The sauce was very good. A little pricey but a very good local establishment.

I tried this spot out for the first time, and was satisfied as I was happy to get me something to eat after a long work shift. Food was fresh and delicious , served in a timely manner, and was prepared by good people. The owners made me feel welcomed. Best food I’ve personally had in the Chicago/Ford Heights to date. Will be back soon!
