Such an awesome spot to try shave ice! They have insanely good flavors – my personal favorite was Tropical Breeze. The ice is so soft it literally melts in your mouth, easily one of the best on the island.
Service was super fast and friendly. The location is perfect too – close to downtown and parking, which is always a plus. Prices are are pretty much the same as everywhere else on the island.
Highly recommend this place for its service and ambiance!

Hands down our favorite shave ice, full stop!
Service is always fantastic, flavor pours are full, the haupia covers everything and permeates through. The ice cream is always soft, and mixes with the flavors and ice for a creamy delicious finish with all flavors mixed perfectly. JoJo’s style (with mac nut) more than makes up for the loss of mac nut ice cream from the menu.
When we stay on the North Shore, we stop here at least once a day, sometimes more. When we stay on the South Shore, we still come up here for the best JoJo’s.

JoJo’s Shave ice is a happening spot for good reason. The shave ice is great and they have plenty of options. The area has a cool vibe and JoJo’s has friendly service.
We ordered the Locals South Shore (pineapple and coconut with macadamia nut ice cream & haupia cream topping) and a Lilo and Stitch (blue and red raspberry with vanilla ice cream). We found a shady spot and enjoyed this stop very much.
Other things to note: this place is popular, but worth it – there may be a line. This is not the first shave ice you get to when you arrive in Hanalei. We went to the other one first, but they closed in our face while we were in line and were not very nice about it. Next time, we will drive straight past it to JoJo’s. There is a small parking lot behind the market and you may be lucky to find a space there. The bathrooms are a short walk away so you can wash your hands after shave ice.

The absolute BEST! We tried 5 different shave ice places all over the island and hands down, Jojo’s is our favorite! So absolutely delicious!!

We ordered and shared a large A’Lotta Colada. Flavor is wow and has vanilla ice cream in the bottom. The serving cups are a different texture than I was used to but it seemed to be a recycled product and not plastic which we know is important for the island. It was a nice treat while walking the shops nearby.

Magical. A bouquet of flavor. The best shave ice I’ve ever eaten. Hand made syrup from real fruit and fresh macadamia ice cream makes thus ice unbeatable.

In my friend’s recommendations for Kauai he had in parentheses next to Jojo’s (always, anytime, never skip) and my review is just that! Always. Anytime. Never skip! Shave ice is to Hawaii as gelato is to Italy. It is always a must and should be partaken of at minimum once a day! I was a sucker for the coconut and the tropical breeze flavors as both have the macadamia nut ice cream and the Haupia cream which is quite simply the best!
