Wow what a spectacular Sunday brunch experience at Joia Boston. From the moment we sat down the atmosphere was upscale yet relaxed making it the perfect spot to enjoy a long brunch. The truffle ravioli was rich and indulgent with a perfectly balanced truffle flavor that did not overpower the dish, while the steak tips were tender flavorful and cooked just right. Every cocktail we tried was thoughtfully crafted and absolutely delicious, easily one of the highlights of the meal. The overall vibe was ideal for catching up and spending time with a friend, and it truly felt like a place you could linger and enjoy. I will definitely be back to experience dinner here. The food earns a strong 9 out of 10 and the drinks are a clear 10 out of 10.

I had such a wonderful experience at Joia. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious.
Our waitress, Carmen, truly stood out. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. She offered great recommendations and checked in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Her professionalism and positive energy really elevated our dining experience.
Highly recommend Joia for great food, great service, and an overall fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We had high hopes coming in, but the experience ended up being pretty underwhelming. The food itself was just okay—nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. What really dragged the visit down was the 40-minute wait, even though our entire party arrived on time for our reservation.
By the time we were finally seated, the vibe had already dipped, and the meal didn’t do much to recover it. The staff was polite, the drinks and the apps were good.
Not the worst dining experience, but definitely not somewhere I’d rush back to.

We got the bruschetta (excellent, but not pictured because we ate it to fast..), the Cacio pepe, and Carbonara for dinner. For desert, we had the limoncello one. It was wonderful! Everything was delicious, and presented beautifully!
The service was fantastic as well! MUST GO!

I don’t know if I am getting old, but we had a dinner here and sat in the back room – see photo. It was a Saturday evening and quite busy. The host did not mention how the restaurant works or what you may expect to experience, but basically it was close to being miserable. The staff were short handed I have to believe and we had to stay on them to keep their attention for ordering etc.
The food was reasonably tasteful as you would expect, but the problem was what happened if someone had a birthday.
The room turned into a blinding (literally) light show like you would expect in a disco. Sorry but that is not acceptable for a fine dining establishment. It then continued to seven or eight of these instances where you had to stop dining (because you could hardly see your food). The volume was intense so you could not speak – if we had not halfway through the meal and had not been raining, we would have left.
It’s sad because we had had a nice afternoon at the bar, and the bar tender had been very pleasant and the front room is lovely, why we were sat in the back, I cannot understand, especially k owing what happens if you are celebrating a birthday. If you go, do not go on a Saturday night is all I can say. I don’t like saying these negative things, because someone has gone to a lot of investment for this business, and a couple of dishes (octopus for one) was good. Simply if we had been told from the beginning, and sat in the front part of the restaurant, it would have been a different experience I would expect. They do need help with their staff though just like other reviews have mentioned.

Service was great. Was seated right away. Tables and seats were comfortable. Drinks were great. Go for the Espresso Martini! Food was TERRIBLE. Flavor was great. But it was 80% pasta. We ordered the short rib and carbonara. There was literally no protein. The carbonara was mac & cheese. The short rib although very well flavored had so little meat. We left hungry after spending $130. Save your money.

looking to celebrate a bday dinner, we came across Joia Restaurant and decided to give it a try. I find that the space was a bit claustrophobic. (it was a Friday). The menu wasn’t very appealing, not to mentioned restricted. The food took a long time to come out, which wasn’t too bad since we were able to order a few drinks and chat. The presentation wasn’t so pleasing , and the taste wasn’t hmmm too great. Everyone took their food to go. Only one guest at the table ate their dinner . The steak tips was the only thing good. flavorful and cooked to perfection. Everything else was an epic fail. Extreme dissapointed. Expensive and not worth it!.
