Want to start by saying we love the Main Street location in Greenwood, but the location at 135 will never see us return.
Staff were inattentive and rude. We waited 40 minutes for a food when there were only 3 other tables of people in the whole place when we arrived. Then when we got the food it really sealed the deal.
My husband ordered the special “brisket” burger, that contained no traces of brisket, with maybe a half cup of Mac and cheese that looked like it came from a school cafeteria…definitely not a $10.99 meal.
I ordered the nachos, which I’ve had at the other location and know they are to be served warmed. These were definitely not warm, basically completely cold, and most of the meat was still raw. Upon realizing this, we asked for them to take them away and explained why. The response was “oh yeah that looks really gross.” No apology and no taking it off of our bill. We then requested that it be taken off of our bill because I hadn’t eaten any of it. This is then when our waitress proceeded to the register and started throwing objects around, clearly managing emotions well.
To top it all off, our daughter’s $6 hot dog was insanely overdone and looked quite disgusting as well.
After paying, we were still never given any apology for the wait time or the abysmal quality of our food.

Place was clean and waitress was very nice. However, my baked potato was lukewarm and a little on the hard side and there was hardly any pork on it. Mac and cheese tasted like any other frozen mac and cheese. We may give them another try though.

Unable to leave no stars. Just spent 44$ on two half racks of ribs that were burnt to a crisp. Barely any meat on the bones. Like jerky.. ordered Mac and cheese… got some kind of corn(?) casserole. Slaw tasted rancid. Save your time and money.

I love coming to this location for the food (so yummy!), atmosphere and social interaction. My husband LOVES all the televisions to watch the games! They also have space for private parties which is nice for family gatherings. Definitely stop by and check this location out!!!

Stopped in for lunch today and we loved it! We had the beef brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich, we both had mac n cheese as the side dish. Meats were tender, juicy and well smoked, super flavorful. I liked that the sauces came on the side, we both had the sweet BBQ and it was perfectly balanced. The Mac was cheesy, creamy and delicious. We also we loved their craft sodas, needless to say we will be return customers. ☺️

Let me start the review with something good! The Mac N Cheese, Baked Beans, and Cornbread Casserole we’re amazing! However, I ordered the Half Rack of Ribs. These were probably some of the toughest ribs I’ve ever eaten my whole life. I had to cut the bones apart and then gnaw the meat off the bone. I’m all for “a little pull” to the BBQ, but I’m not about using my teeth as serrated blades to chisel the meat into my mouth. If we do return I don’t know that I’ll test my luck again with the ribs.
It’s also useful to note that the customer service was excellent and we were taken care of with our carryout order. This review in no way reflects the service we were provided.

Brisket was dry. Tasted like ash not a Smokey flavor. Felt like I was eating beef jerky. Also had loaded nachos and the chips where so stale you’d think they left a bag of chips open on the counter for two weeks. Customer service was horrible. Lady had an attitude. Didn’t seem like she wanted to help anybody. Played on her phone in the corner more than anything. Maybe another location will be better. But this one is a huge let down

I wish I could rate this restaurant higher. The food is quite good. We’ve always enjoyed it. But the service is horrendous. We’ve gone three times in the past two months (hoping our poor experience was a fluke) and each time we have been shocked at the terrible service. The bartenders and servers are constantly on their phones, drinks were never refilled, and it took a ridiculously long time to get the check because we kept trying to flag someone down. Good food, poor service.

I used to highly recommend this place but not now.. Company grow too fast the Greenwood store and 135 store lost its roots from the barkersville store. Cost opportunity to get refills on your own and prices went up and less generous on portions of meat. I wouldn’t be surprised if they close the new stores. Very disappointed still like Bargersville but maybe think twice when it becomes BBQ night. City BBQ will give them a run for their money sorry Johnson’s but you have went downhill since the new stores have opened and you have kids running the store. Good luck

First time eating here. The food was very good…beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Prices were reasonable. Our server, Emma was top notch! Will definitely go back.
