Coffeehouse serving java, sandwiches & sweets in an art-filled, vintage brick storefront.

I’ve heard great things about this place, and I regret not coming sooner. My guest had the mushroom toast, which she said was excellent, and I had the regular breakfast sandwich. It was not regular – it was extraordinarily delicious. The coffee was really good too. The staff were super nice and the place has a lovely atmosphere. I will most definitely be back!!

What a lovely local neighborhood spot for breakfast! While staying at a hotel nearby, we decided to walk a few blocks to this establishment. Greeted by friends staff we placed our order and asked for the largest cappuccino they had! Complete with a shot of authentic maple syrup (not some fake stuff) and WOW did they deliver! We had ordered breakfast bowls, avocado toast, cappuccini and a side of bacon! Well presented, VERY delicious and my cappuccino came in a MASON jar! Love it! Be sure to eat here when in Madison!

Every 6 months or so I try going here to see if they’ve fixed the smell, and every time I’m assaulted by the smell of grease. The service is fine, coffee is good and the food is solid, but my god it’s the worst smelling restaurant in this city. Makes me feel like I need to shower to remove the frying oil from my pores if I’m inside for longer than 10 min. Unironically the smell is so bad I almost never go to JPH over cargo or other nearby options

One of the most underrated coffee shops in the Madison area! The cold brew and breakfast sandwich were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Combined with a good vibe, kind people, and outdoor seating options?! Makes for a perfect Saturday afternoon.

I tried their matcha with no sugar & an extra matcha shot. Their matcha is NOT bitter but still strong. It’s not too milky either. I’d been looking for a place like this in Madison and I’m so glad I found it!!

Great place to eat, it was great coffee and very nice place to relax. I will go back again. It is affordable and great place to talk to people with kind ownership along with nice college students. It’s a very busy place yet it stands out I hope they get more coffee to sell. I hope to see the place grow over the next year. I found it an Ethical place for people to come and go as they please. I really enjoyed my sandwich and my brother loved his sandwich also. Fresh food and lemonade.

Great place to stop for coffee and breakfast. Ordered the regular breakfast sandwich, pancakes, a vanilla latte, and cappuccino. The sandwich was $9 and on the smaller side, but tasted great and had fresh ingredients! The pancakes had an orange zest and spicy essence which was unique. The coffee drinks were good as well and they use house made syrups! The menu isn’t updated and syrup is now a $0.65 up charge. They serve Kin-Kin coffee and you get a free shot of espresso when you buy a bag! Great atmosphere, plenty of seating, and lovely staff. Will be back!

Wow wow wow. Don’t sleep on JPH. Delicious food and coffee. I had an iced lavender caramel latte with the breakfast bowl and my fiancé had a mocha with the breakfast sandwich. He chowed down before I could take a picture… and with good reason. It was so tasty! Absolutely loved the food and vibes. Only downer is it’s a small place and you leave smelling like a diner.. but it’s a small price to pay for some of the best breakfast in Madison! We will definitely be back many more times.

A quick visit for coffee, lauded by the locals!
I had a breakfast sandwich, which was probably one of the best if not the best I’ve ever had in a ‘coffee cafe’. Highly recommended.
I also had a simple double express, dark, with a bit of fruit, and slightly sour. A perfect brew for a milk drink I think. But good enough to be ordered by itself.

I had a cortado here and it was really good. Often when I order one somewhere it’s bitter, but this was perfect. The Kin Kin coffee is roasted in house and they definitely understand roasting. I also had a breakfast bowl and everything was great.
