Stopped in for coffee with friends. Decent coffee, grilled muffins were tasty (both blueberry and corn). Our server was friendly. Very local place, kitschy.

Great little spot. Good steak and cheese grinder. Love the old time vibe.

I wanted a quick and easy breakfast and opted to stop by based off a recommendation from a friend. Its looks pretty much sum it up. It’s a local joint with real food at reasonable prices. There’s a lot of puzzles lining the walls which is pretty cool. Speaking of pretty cool the family the runs the joint were very friendly and down to earth. Everyone that stopped in made the place feel more like a big family. I wish I took some pictures but I was too busy enjoying talking with John and his sister while my wife and I enjoyed the food and coffee. We’ll definitely be back.

Such a cute personally owned business. I love the food and the people that run it. It’s open late on the weekends and a staple for the community. Thank you John’s sandwich shop for blessing Clinton for 30 years.

I love trying new breakfast places. John’s was wonderful. Delishious french toast and the bacon was cooked perfectly.

The food is amazing, yet there are no gimmicks. Its the best honest and satisfying meal around, at unbelievable prices and a level of friendly and familiar service that seems sadly lacking in the world at times but never here. Leave no longer hungry, with a few dollars in your pocket, and somehow content on a…deeper level. Something warm and safe and rare. Like Home.

I’m a little confused about all the five star reviews. Maybe this place is better known for their breakfast, but we came here at 12:30 on a Friday for lunch and I got what ended up being a very disappointing chicken sandwich. Reminded me of a school lunch patty. I will give it to them – the steak and cheese was good, and the staff was quite friendly. But the menu was limited, and cash only is always a less-than-pleasant surprise. Even the air pump at the gas station down the street takes credit cards.

The food was pretty good. Can’t really complain about that.
However the service lacked professionalism. When I visited the owner (or at least the guy working there) had a loud conversation full of f-bombs and other profanity with some other patrons that he clearly knew well about a mutually disliked acquaintance of theirs.
It made me fairly uncomfortable and I will likely never go back to this shop.

It’s a diner that is open LATE NIGHT!! Friday and Saturday night they are open 9 pm to 2 am. The steak and cheese is fresh and perfect after a few drinks. Upgrade to the home fries and really enjoy.

This is one of the best breakfast spots around! The food is great and the coffee is so refreshing. The staff greats you with a smile and makes your dining experience even better. Highly suggest the omelets and the hungry man special.
