The food was good. Two factors lead me to give them 4 stars. I noticed that i ordered the same plate as another gentleman did, but was charged more for my order. Also i was skipped in line and was giving a hard time by another customer in front of the server and she didnt correct them by telling them i was there before him.

**Super crispy chicken and great Dominican vibes!**
John’s Fried Chicken never misses. The chicken is always fresh, crispy, and full of flavor — you can tell it’s made to order every time. The place has that real Dominican feel, with great music, friendly people, and food that reminds you of home.
Only downside is the small seating area — it can fill up quick. But honestly, the food makes up for it. Definitely one of those neighborhood spots you just keep coming back to!

If you like chicken with dark meat (legs and thighs only), you will adore this urbane cafeteria. The fried chicken is unbelievable. Voted #1 by the Daily News. Batter bursts with savory flavors and practically melts in your mouth. Most of their sides are native Dominican dishes. If you are ever in the area and need a fast bite, then look no further. After our visit, we most likely won’t return to Popeyes, Kennedy or KFC.

Food here is just basic. I was a little disappointed being that this is a fried chicken spot?? & the chicken was unflavored. The pernil was unflavored as well, which left baffled being that the location of the establishment is in Dykman??? You do get a nice size plate just add salt

I truly enjoy John’s Fried Chicken. Its moist, greasy, and marinated in God knows what, and I like it. Taste is subjective, especially in the fried chicken realm…perhaps you won’t be as thrilled. The experience won’t set you back much either way. John’s is cheap. There’s also a staggering variety of Dominican inspired items in a steam table towards the rear that includes various rice dishes, roast chicken, pernil, spaghetti, vegggies etc… I often order yellow rice with my fried chicken. Its a little gritty inside and there are only a handful of tables, so plan on taking your bird to go.

John’s Fried Chicken has been our go to spot for over a decade, and has yet disappoint my family and I. The golden brown crisp in their fried chicken, is a one of a kind taste. Don’t ever share that recipe … we order from JFC at least 2x a week and it makes us so happy to know they deliver to Our Loaction. Moises and his team go above and beyond communicating with their customers about their grub hub deliveries and the food is always hot. Thank you all for keeping the business up and running all these years. We regulars appreciate you. Sincerely Jackie Guzman & Family

Ppl can say whatever about being too greasy, but fried chicken is one of the best in taste wise and being super crispy. If they run out of fries, it tells you if they are good or not.

The food is not as good anymore. No flavor. Greasy.

The fried chicken tastes delicious and you actually get meat with your order. Not just fried bones with little to no meat like some places around there. You can taste the seasoning on the chicken and even the fries (I assume they cook it all in the same oil). It’s a staple in the neighborhood. They also sell other types of meats and sides like rice and beans, plantains, spaghetti, fish, you name it they have it! And it’s delicious too. Definitely going back whenever I’m around that area.
