We are a family of great tradition and have an instilled desire to deliver our grandfathers recipes. He had a desire and passion for taste. Wanting to share that with everyone, the recipes were passed down to sons and daughters. We now share those recipes in our restaurants. In 1974 Johns Fried Chicken opened up it’s doors to serve traditional Dominican delights. A family owned and developed business, welcoming the community to enjoy it’s great menu. Delicious food! My first time trying Dominican. I asked the owner to make me a dish she would enjoy. She served me mangu with fried eggs, alongside liver and fried cheese. It was a delicacy. Just one of many meal combination that are available to you upon arrival.

Ordered a catering for earlier today. And the problem started from the start when I recieved the order. when I get to my house i realize one of my trays aren’t even what I ordered and I’m missing a chicken tray. I called to see how this can be handled I was told they’ll refund me lol. Obviously I want food not money. But the situation was able to be resolved eventually thankfully just for the food to finally arrive and be the sorriest excuse for Dominican food I’ve ever had in my life. Do not recommend you want good Caribbean food take a drive to Passaic county cause I wouldn’t even feed this to my dog. Yes all trays went straight in the garbage. Worse 200$ ever spent.

I been coming here for 4 years and the food is always good. Only thing you never know how much it’s gonna cost till you have to pay for it. The chicaron is delicious. Garlic chicken tasted great! Rice was good and the avocado salad was on point. You’ll probably spend 10-13 a meal so we’ll worth the price

Very chill lunch or late dinner place for a small group. Lots of options and everything tastes great! Very clean and relaxed. Excellent staff. Great place for authentic Latin food and everyone speaks perfect English. No complaints, a must go to if you’re in the area and not looking for something casual.

A friend told me about John’s Fried Chicken so I looked it up and saved it. This all happened in a day told me on Saturday visited on Sunday. It was my Beautiful Daughter and her S/O and my Gorgeous Wife. As we were celebrating my Exquisite Wife’s Birthday.
Stepping in John’s an up to the counter. You see the good looking food many choices. Where do I what do I order. Wife ordered the chicken seasoned white rice red beans and tostones. Daughter and S/O ordered seasoned chicken with yellow rice and tostones. I ordered fried chicken black rice and tostones. Lemonade for the three and told the Hostess to pick whatever for me Strawberry Lemonade fit for a King
Fried chicken is good dark meat legs and thighs. Our plates are stacked definitely will have leftovers. Food was flavorful good hearty after eating I needed a nap. Definitely will be returning soon than later.

how do y’all not know how to take orders? everytime i come here and order two empanadas i get the wrong flavor. how hard is it to get an order of two empanadas correct every single time? and then on top of that y’all don’t even acknowledge the customer and have them waiting extra long to pick up an order that was placed twenty minutes in advance. distasteful and rude. not spending another dime here again .

If you are seeking a fancy place, this is not for you. If you are like me and appreciate great food with a no frills atmosphere, you’ll love John’s Fried Chicken. The people here are great and the food was awesome. Started out with chicharone, and the skin was sooo crispy. Loved it. Moved on to the percil, slow roasted pork. They are known for the chicken, but the pork was absolutely amazing and very moist. Finished off with the chicken. Very tasty and crispy, could have eaten a lot more was so good. They have many other items on menu other than Fried Chicken. If you need a change of pace and want to support local businesses, come out to John’s, I highly recommend this place.

I ordered dinner from this place online and then they called me and told me they didn’t have the food I ordered and they couldn’t give me a refund. I have gone in person to talk to people.I have been on the phone discussing it with the employees. No, one of any authority will respond to me and refuses to refund the $60 I spent on a dinner while I had been in the hospital all day, taking care of a family member. I tried to resolve it with them for so long that it was too late for me to dispute with my credit card company. Now, I’m just going to file a police report. Honestly, the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. They are rude and uncooperative. They stole my money and didn’t give me anything and I have proof.

Tried them for the first time I liked the food the rice with Gandules was soooo good and tasty the lady was very nice ! Very nice service they make you feel welcome and at home ! Deff going to be going back and the empanadas was so fresh
