The staff are great here and the food is delicious – such generous portions too! This day I had fish, tater tots and fired pickles. I had the pickle spares, but you can order slices too. The inside is cozy and friendly. There is a very active order then pick up program. Highly recommend. Plus, I love to support small businesses. Whenever I am working with real estate clients in Fort Meade, I try to stop by John’s place. I can always count on them for a good, wholesome meal

We Jeep and we eat. We travel all over Central Florida looking for great trails and locally owned restaurants. This diner fit the Bill. Service was great, enjoyed my cowboy burger and foot-long hotdog with some spicy coleslaw on top. The catfish stayed hot and tasted great. If you’re in the area and you wanna support a local business stop by and get you some food. Incidentally it also is a drive up restaurant. First off !!PLEASE PLEASE DONT GET THE STEAK AND SHRIMP WHAT A RIP OFF FOR $25!! I came in after yrs and yrs of eating here and was dissapointed in my meal i should of honestly went back and got my phone to take a picture of how shitty my steak n shrimp looked. Im beyond pissed this is the first time im pissed anyways stay clear its a rip the steak was prolly the size of my open hand or smaller and the shrimp were no bigger then the size of a quarter or smaller maybe. Typing this im just pissed i paid that $25 for this meal. My mom got the catfish and she got plenty of food and my cuzin got half fried chicken he had more protein on his plate half the cost almost and just all around the meal i had was not worth $25. Honestly i wont prolly ever come back here. Dont get me wrong i dont mind paying but the food better make sense for the price.

We are from Wisconsin, and attended the Flywheelers show. We also have a house in Lakeland. We try to get there as often as we can. The food and people are great. It is one of the best five star restaurants with home cooked meals in the country.

The food was good and the prices were perfect. The waitress and owner told us about their little town. Everyone was very friendly. Very large menu. I do want to mention when someone is allergic to a certain type of food the kitchen should take extra care to make sure it does not infiltrate your order. otherwise you’re sick for days.

Everyone is friendly and welcoming, its one of the things I miss about Fort Meade the most. Will definitely be coming back whenever I come back to Florida.

Stopped in John’s drive -In today for some lunch. They had same great looking options, it ultimately went for the fish tacos and fried okra. Little heavy for lunch, but man they were good.
