Been eating here my whole life as a Livermore native. Took my husband here for the first time and he was wondering why I was “holding out on him” for so long every time we were back in town. Tastes like an authentic backyard burger, and you’ve got to get their fries and onion rings. If you’re looking for a nostalgic burger experience, this is the place! Happy to support local and delicious food. (We visited twice in the 5 weeks we were in town)

Me and my husbands first time here. My husbands double burger on a French roll was humongous.. my single cheeseburger was really good…we also had fries, onion rings and a vanilla shake.. We will be back the next time we are in Livermore.

Great dive burger spot. Lovely vibe to the place. Burger was very good, as were the fries. Staff are very nice, quick. Place needs some care, and a deep clean, but within my acceptable levels. Good for a char burger!

I thought the burger was fantastic. Fairly priced, large and juicy. It absolutely had that great Char flavor, so that was a big plus. Fries were crisp and tasty, and plentiful for the cost. Service was good, it’s counter order, but they were friendly.

Great tasting burger and well prepared. We ordered at the window and waited in the covered area. There were also people dining in. Fries were also fresh which I appreciated. They were not salted but came with salt packets. I also liked this aspect.

Loved it! It’s the closest that I’ve been able to find, a really good cheeseburger and fries that reminds me of a childhood restaurant at the corner of the street where I grew up, called Happy Hound. I miss that place.

8 and 3 year old for fries-shakes. They made a grilled cheese and cheeseburger was amazing. Nice lady with great service moved us inside from togo area after we needed bathroom. Excellent place and excellent food-shakes 🙂

It had been a while so I ordered the 1/2 lbs. burger which is with two patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles.
Wow, why did I wait so long:).
It was delicious. fresh, hot and tasty.
If you haven’t tried this place and like burgers, do yourself a favor and try it, you will not be disappointed.
By the way this burger was $8.75, CRAZY!
Absolutely one of the best cheeseburgers I have had to date and there has been a few all over the country.
The patties were cooked to perfection with melted cheese all over.
The produce used was fresh.
The flavor was outrageously good.
I will go back for sure and take family and friends.
07/29/2022 Update- Today it was even better than the last time. you taste the care they put into their food. Burger is well seasoned, the bun is fresh and the greens are fresh as can be with good quality dill pickles. I absolutely enjoyed my lunch very much. Did I mention the burger was only $7.80 including tax? There you go:)

I’m an In n Out fan for many reasons, including price and consistency. But I have to say during my stay in Pleasanton my visit to Joh’s became my first visit of many. Their burgers may be the best I’ve ever had. In fact, while typing this I’m wishing for another!
