When they have live music, do yourself a favor and attend! Not only are you helping the artists but the music is amazing, fun and interactive! Definitely worth-while! Drinks aren’t crazy expensive and they’re not watered down. They’re very strong. I love it here! I wish I could post videos, the songs are great!

I originally had a bad experience here and felt embarrassed during karaoke. But the manager, Sarah, personally reached out afterward, which I really appreciated. I’m still feeling hesitant about coming back, but I want to acknowledge that they cared enough to follow up. Thank you, Sarah.
The drinks and bartenders were good, but this experience really hurt. I wish the karaoke process was communicated more clearly so people don’t feel singled out or embarrassed. It made an already rough night even harder.
I hope others have a better experience.

The juke box is always offline… almost like the staff unplugs it or something. Other than that it’s a great place to watch a band and have drinks! Bartenders are actually pretty friendly but the off-clock staff sitting at the bar drinking are not very friendly.

but legit i have to say ive never felt safer in a bar. i’ve been going here for 9 years, to be fair. but i know i can go to an employee if i feel uncomfortable, if i have a question or concern, if i need help with a spilled drink or getting darts or whatever. i love john’s alley with my whole heart! yall are the best

Asked a nice young lady if the seat next to her was taken she told me it was open and invited me to go ahead and sit. Less than a minute later the bartender returned with my drink told me the seat was taken and asked me to move. I willingly complied but I’ve been there twice and felt uncomfortable both times like I was intruding and wasn’t welcome. Needless to say my money will go to the nearby pool hall rather than this dive edited to note nobody ever occupied the seat while I was there

John’s Alley Tavern is a good place for the weekends. Get drinks done fast but most of the crowd is college students. Depending on the crowd you are looking for this could be or could not be the place. Billiards tables are available but the music can be suspect at best! Thank you.

Went for my 21st birthday single mingles was a rip off. This place actually gets you drunk for the price. They have pool but it’s not as good as mingles since it’s money to pay not just on a tab and the other things to do there are just kinda run down. It’s always busy so if you don’t like people then it’s not the best place for you

This place is the shadiest corrupt place ever and I hope they get sued for it they hired musician who ended up drugging my drink and transporting me to a house when I was a vulnerable college student and they also have thieves there who have stolen my wallet and it ended up in the dumpster I hope they close down and get sued. I don’t go there the trashiest establishment in the world. Boycott this trash place and they are biased they will 86 all the people w skateboards.
