Very disappointed. Went in tonight (12/4/25) around 7pm. It was not busy and there was several open tables. When we walked in we waited about 5mins before anyone greeted us or took us to a table. After we placed our order it took about 30mins to finally get it. I ordered a southwestern salad add crispy chicken. When it came out it had no chicken on it. We had to get our servers attention for everything we needed. She never came over and just checked on us. We had to go find her to get our check. It was only 2 adults and 2 kids so we didn’t have huge crazy orders. This is the first time I had been in for about a year because I had a similar experience last time. I love the Johnny’s in Blue Springs and never have issues at that location.

We had some of the worst service we have ever experienced tonight which was disappointing because we find ourselves at Johnnys about once a month. We had Sidney as a server and found her too busy talking to other servers to take care of us. We never got drinks refilled, she dropped trash watched it fall and continued to walk away. My husband picked up the trash and she never took it off our table. She didn’t bring us our food and never came back to check on us. We had to ask the bar for ranch and our bill. When we made a comment to her about not seeing her for a bit she replied with “don’t play that game” “i have other tables”

This dinner was very disappointing. I had the fish and chip with sweet potato fries that had a surprising $1.99 up charge. To drink I had a draft beer.
The beer was barely cold.
As you look at my attached photos the fries had over the top greasy. You cold see the fry was nothing but grease and tasted like old grease. No sweet potato taste at all.
The fish itself was moist deep fried so the fish itself was cooked perfectly. But since the grease used must of been old the breading tasted like old grease with the breading little pockets filled with grease. So the flavor of the breaded fish was old grease.
Definitely not worth eating here, and the price way to high for the amount of food, way to high for the quality of food.
There also didn’t seem to be an atmosphere. Nothing wanted me to say, I love this place let’s stay a bit longer.

Food is generally good but they always leave things out of to go orders. I ordered online and they completely left out my burger. I checked the receipt and made sure that it was included in the order. I only got the fries. This isn’t the first time something was missing but it usually is something small, not the main part of a meal.

All of our food was cold. I asked for a side salad with red onions it was a side salad with huge green bell peppers. I was charged for the bell peppers I didn’t ask for. I ordered street steak tacos. The steak was dry and tough with no flavor and cold. My husband ordered wings and fries. Wings were asked to be fried hard they weren’t. We got buffalo lemon pepper and there was no buffalo. Everything was cold the fries the wings and the again steak stir fry. They did bring fresh fries out. When they took the stir fry back and brought it back it was the saltiest dish I ever had. I have never been to Johnnys tavern before. The spinach dip was the best and was good.

I really liked the grilled chicken tenders and dip options. There were a couple of mix ups, but it all worked out in the end. They did plenty to make up for it. There is a crazy amount of TVs, so if you’re there to watch a game you won’t even miss out in the bathroom.

Customer service was alright! Friendliness could have been better! I went during late lunch time! Fish was pretty good. Wasn’t that server had a bad attitude! She didn’t! Hopefully next time I will be more impressed!

Lunch cost $65 with 3 alcoholic cocktails, appetizer, and 2 meals- not bad at all!
Food: The chicken strips were great. I was disappointed in the club, as it had no flavor. The fryer grease seemed a bit old but honestly, that’s just what ya get with fried food.
Service: The waitress was attentive but never hovered.
Atmosphere: lots of tvs, plenty of space with booth and table seating. Nice, clean place.

Very good spot. We had dinner friends and the food was great. I had jambalaya which was tasty. Two had tenderloins, and one a shrimp platter.
Will be back. Very friendly waiter and took good care of us.

This is one of the worst Johnny’s Tavern’s in the area. We have tried 3 different times, giving them multiple opportunities and have been disappointed each time. We would rather drive to Overland Park or Lee’s Summit. It takes forever to be seated, the tables are sticky 9 times out of 10, the floors have quite a bit of trash on them, the menu’s feel sticky and have food on them at times and the service is pretty bad. If this is how it looks on the floor, then what does the kitchen look like? I don’t even want to know. Hopefully they can do better.
